I understand the part about having your faith tested. I never completely let go because I always felt like if I did -- then I would have nothing, right? Besides the evidence for Christianity and the resurrection is so overwhelming that I don't think I could ever stop believing. Sometimes you can find a purpose and meaning in your suffering. I recently watched a movie about Dietrich Bonhoeffer and I may get his biography out of the library. (by Eric Metaxas) It's a powerful story about a man who lost his life trying to help other people. Just thought I would suggest it since you are into a reading mode right now. Your gf sounds like a very nice person.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

I dont know Violet. Its funny how theres a lot of people that are Christian or Catholic that have PN. I dont know what to say about my faith. Lately I am in a pretty dark pit.
Pudendal pain started in Feb 2014. Potter MRI- useless findings (dont waste your money), tried pelvic floor pt, ART, Trigenics, Osteopathic treatment, fascial work, Massage, Shockwave, world renown chiros, osteopaths and PTs, stretching bla bla. Nothing helped but shockwave (which was short lived) and one world renown chiro that is a douchebag because he cant treat me again. All in all, God is the only one who can lead your path.

Dom, I'm sorry about the dark pit. My husband and I were just talking last night about what a dark pit we were both in when I was going through the worst of PN. Just the other day I read the story in Luke when Jesus was about to be crucified and he told Peter that Satan was asking to sift him like wheat. Luke 22:31. Or a different translation says that he told Peter, "Satan has demanded to have you". Sort of like the story of Job, I guess.
I don't know why you are going through this trial right now. You are a really nice intelligent guy and I'm sure God has has something special planned for you. Sometimes people who go through the worst things have the most to offer.
