Re: A critical review of myofascial/trigger point treatment
. I can tell you that there is both empirical data and patient data to support physical therapy. Sorry but you simply cannot make that claim. Physical therapy is an unproven treatment for pelvic pain. There has only ever been one randomized study for physical therapy for pelvic pain which was prese...

Re: A critical review of myofascial/trigger point treatment
Another review of trigger points this time explaining how there is no reliable list of diagnostic criteria for a trigger point. Trigger point identification is subjective. Patients just have to trust their therapists judgement. http://www.lukerickardsosteopath.net/diagnosing-myofascial-trigger-point...

Re: Trying Again
I must've gotten the same negative information. I read the same general statement in numerous threads from pudendal.info. I could be wrong, but I thought it came from Hibners patients. :?: Yeah me too, but there's nothing in the literature to say that 1/3 get worse. I also have heard it but where h...

Re: Trying Again
Surgery is a cure for a small minority of individuals. So far Celeste you are the only individual I have run into, who has been cured by surgery. The general statement made about surgical results is: post-surgery, 1/3 are worse, 1/3 are the same, and 1/3 improve. Of those that improve, a minority h...

Re: VERY INTERESTING - DR. FILLER'S OFFICE ON MRN VS. 3T
Charlie, Have you watched Dr. Filler's pudendal youtube sales pitch in its entirety? It is in my opinion very carefully crafted to suggest, without stating, that upwards of 90% of his patients are cured. I accept your point about manipulated success rates. There is no way Filler is getting those re...

Re: VERY INTERESTING - DR. FILLER'S OFFICE ON MRN VS. 3T
I was pleased with the care I received but agree that Dr. Filler is very piriformis-obsessed AND that his advertising choices are not what I would call altogether ethical. You make some valid criticisms Hermajesty but I disagree with your last point. I take your point about success rates. I agree t...

Re: Old info
Can anyone please provide me with the guys information that is holding all of the prior website info (http://www.pudendal.info). I have to see all of the surgical data on the website because I am a 25 yr old male and need to examine all of the data before considering surgery. An email, phone number...

Re: A critical review of myofascial/trigger point treatment
I agree with quite a bit in the article Charlie; definitely I agree that myofascial trigger points have a persistent underlying cause and are rarely if ever a primary disorder. I agree less with the title of your post as I do not think this article debunks the validity of TrP TREATMENT - as long as...

A critical review of myofascial/trigger point treatment
The article linked to below is an excellent review of the historical development of trigger point theory and concepts and a step-by-step refutation of the theory, along with some interesting ideas about what this painful condition really is. http://www.pain-education.com/referred-pain.html? In this ...
