Re: A Headache in the Pelvis Clinic
Yes, David Wise is a musician. He insists very heavily on it in his latest work "paradoxical relaxation". I am sure that David Wise suffered quite a bit during those 22 years but it was not debilitating like PNE is for some. He was in a Klezmer band and recorded music in the 80s. http://w...

Re: PNE Ironman athlete
Charlie, I'm waiting for you to pounce on this one.   Hi Violet I have only just seen this. Nice of you to think of me. ;) Firstly let me say I have never said Physical therapy does not work. What I have said is that there is no credible evidence that myofascial PT can resolve pelvi...

Re: A Headache in the Pelvis Clinic
I agree Susan Jane that we should have compassion for people whatever the cause of their pelvic pain. However I also strongly agree with NYT when she argues that the cause of your pain is important. As nyt explains Identifying the cause of your pain is crucial as it will also identify what treatment...

It is a fantastic statement from the President of the Interstitial Cystitis Network.
It is great to see another organization exposing the David Wise 'clinic' .

Re: A Headache in the Pelvis Clinic
You are right, many PTs have "a headache in the pelvis" on display and it is because often patients bring them a copy of the book and demand to be treated exactly like it is described in the book. Also why would many PTs be opposed in general to A Headache in the Pelvis . If I wrote a boo...

Re: A Headache in the Pelvis Clinic
Nice how he assumes no responsibility for his protocol being dubbed "the Stanford Protocol" by "internet folks" yet reaps the glory of having it called such. Hasn't this guy been on Oprah before? I don't have extensive experience with multiple PT's (have only been treated by 2) ...

Re: A Headache in the Pelvis Clinic
Could you please remind me what Mr. Wise's PHD is in? If I remember correctly, he's not an actual medical doctor? Physchologist maybe? Karyn, David Wise has no medical training or qualifications. He is a licensed psychologist. However he has never been a Stanford psychologist as I was led to believ...

Re: A Headache in the Pelvis Clinic
I also went to the clinic when it was held at David Wise's home. You could not make it up really. How many other Dr's mentioned on this website run their clinics from their own home? Stanford have never had any involvement in the running of the Wise clinic. It was Dr Rodney Anderson who was a Stanfo...

Re: A Headache in the Pelvis Clinic
Below is a picture taken of the room where the relaxation methods were taught at David Wise's A Headache in the Pelvis Clinic. This picture was taken by a patient. At the time this picture was taken the clinic was described as ' the best clinic in the world for our condition ' by the administrator o...

Re: Bruising after TG Surgery
Hi, I'm not looking for commentary about the article - we can discuss that in another thread, if anyone is interested. I AM looking for commentary about the bruising of this particular, butt, though. So, TG patients - did your butt look like this after surgery? I'm specifically talking abou...
