Re: Severing ligaments -- does it matter?

I just want to make clear that "severing the ligaments" especially the Sacrotuberous ligament in the Pelvis isn't my idea or this isn't the first time that it is being discussed. This is shared by most of the PNE doctors now which includes Dr. Hibner,Dr. Bautrant,Dr. Antalok,Dr. Shoeberi,D...

Re: Severing ligaments -- does it matter?

I don't think we can say that severing the ligaments creates pelvic instability in some people. Agreed Charlie. But that wasn't my hypothesis either. You took the word "may" out of my hypothesis ( may lead to pelvic instability). But to move on from just discussing words to the real issue...

Re: A Headache in the Pelvis Clinic

Correct me if I am wrong Charlie, or has your sharing the trigger point map and my sharing the content of the tapes pretty much summed up what you get? It would be good for individuals considering this program to know what they can expect to get out of it. Yes you have summed up it up perfectly HM....

A Headache in the Pelvis Clinic

For patients interested in attending the Wise-Anderson A Headache in the Pelvis clinic I have posted below an example of the trigger point map patients recieve at the end of the 5 day clinic. This trigger point map was written by the physical therapist you see at the clinic. It is to be used as a gu...

Re: Severing ligaments -- does it matter?

What's your background Charlie. Since you don't have a "signature" and I don't know you well, would you mind telling what you've tried and how you think you got PN? Hi Faith. You can read a bit more about what I have tried if you read the 9th post down on the page below. http://www.pudend...

Scared Girl I think everyone will be able to relate to your post. As Violet said there is hope for you. So keep on going. I know people that have overcome this. Don't be afraid to share your feelings though and use the forums as means of support as well as information. I have made some great friends...

Re: Severing ligaments -- does it matter?

Do you know what percent of people who smoke get lung cancer? It's less than 50%. Yet it is an accepted fact that smoking causes lung cancer. You don't have to have 100% of people develop SI problems after severing the ligament to support the hypothesis that severing the ligament may lead to pelvic...

Re: Severing ligaments -- does it matter?

Charlie, I don't know the answer to your questions but I did find this document, that looks like it has not been updated since 2004 or 2005, which indicates that Dr. Hibner does do research and publication in addition to clinical work: http://www.spuninfo.org/index_files/Hibner.htm Are you familiar...

Re: Severing ligaments -- does it matter?

Dr. Hibner has a study of all his patients and he does keep track of them and so far none have developed SIJD issues. Ali when you say Hibner has done a study has he published it? How does he collect his results? How long does he track his patients for? Did he show you the study or did you just tak...

Re: Severing ligaments -- does it matter?

Andry Vleeming is a PhD and a PT but as you googled his name I am sure you saw he has greatly distinguished himself as a pure scientist and a leader in the field of pelvic biomechanics, unlike some "other" PhD's we may know of. I think I may know who you are talking about HM and Sca...
