hi, wondering about if there is any developement of an SNRI patch, like a cymbalta patch. ! can't tolerate many by mouth meds because of gatrointestinal side effects, mostly the nausea; thanks,pdn

maoi(monamine oxidase inhibitors) for neuropathic pain

hi, has anyone had any experience with the maois for neuropathic pain;they are some of the older anti-depressants but not the tricyclics; there is an ensam patch I'd consider as have not been able to tolerate cymbalta( GI side effects) or any other by mouth meds. thank you, pdn

hi, thanks for the reply. dr. Conway whom I referred to in earlier post said that some of his colleagues in France were giving cortisone injections for cam lesions and were seeing relief of pudendal nerve symptoms in some cases. he recommended that I get a hip MRI and consult with orthopod, pdn

CAM lesions and pudendal symptoms

Spoke with dr Conway, pudendal nereualgia specialist in new hampshire, who said that some of his colleagues are finding that cam lesions, basically arthritic changes I think, in the hip joints can produce pudendal neuralgia; and recommended my seeing a hip-orthopedist. I s anyone aware of this issue...

hi, Dr, Conway, pudendal specialist in new hampshire, told me a couple days ago after noticing cam lesions in my hip joints that some of his colleagues are noticing that they can produce pudendal nerve symptpms and suggested I consult with hip orthopedist. hi Kathyd,, also had mri from dr Potter which showed varices impinging on pudendal nerve in alcocks canal. Saw dr Fan, interventional rediologist at BWH in boston who specializes in pelvic congestion syndrome for many years, who sdid her own vascular pelvic mri. she did not see enlarged veins either...

hi K athyd, please see my post recently under pelvic congestion and varices. Essentially, had very experienced radiologist at BWH in boston, dr. Fan, do her own pelvic mri and read dr. Potter's mri which pointed to varices impinging on pudendal nerves. she did not agree wih dr. Potter's reading at a...

hi, I've always had burning pain in upper and inner posterior thighs, buttocls, and perineum pain more dull-like. Agree with you that compression of nerves probably happening proximal to alcocks canal towards sacral plexus where posterior cutaneous and cluneal nerves are involved, pdn

Fan meant by not impressed that they were not enlarged on either mri, and also doubtful that would be causing PN. she definitely did not recommend embolization procedure which she has much experience with; as not a PN dr., she's an interventional radiologist, did not have further recommendat...
