Re: any benefit to nerve block at alcock canal location?
None of the blocks helped me. My impression is, after reading the PN sites for a while, that they rarely fix anything...

Re: pain
Brian, Don't give up! 18 months ago I felt so much pain and despair that I was seriously suicidal. I just kept trying different medications and finally I found something that really helped. What works is different for everyone, so there's no quick answer. Just keep trying--I'm sure you'll find a sol...

Internak PT?
I've had PN for two years now, and have tried many things--from acupuncture to steroid shots. I'm only now getting around to PT in which the therapist works directly on trigger points in the pelvic floor. It would really helpful to hear others' experience of this kind of work. Does it help? Does it ...

Sitting. Sitting. Sitting. If I sit for more than a few minutes, I can trigger pain that last s for days.

Re: New natural PainKiller Normast® (Palmitoylethanolamide)
I tried it for a short while. It didn't seem to help. Actually I haven't heard of anyone else on the pN sites who has been helped. But it doesn't seem to harm, so...

Re: Anyone get cure from nerve block?
Hi Dave, I don't have much to offer, except to avoid sitting at all. I know, it's hard to have a life without sitting, but I believe it's really important to not aggravate the PNE nerves further so they have a chance to heal. I'm in so much less pain now, after not sitting for a year... Also, swimmi...

Re: PEA
I bought some several months back from a Dutch pharmacy--very easy to do. But I haven't taken it, as no one on the PN sites seems to have benefited from it, even those taking it for a half year...

Re: My story from the bottom of the earth, literally
Hi Nicola, Sorry that you are having these difficulties. Hang in there--things do change... I know you can't surf for now, but have you tried swimming? Crawl and backstroke (not breast stroke, which is not a good idea) have been very helpful for me. I've been swimming for 20 minutes almost every day...

Re: A critical review of myofascial/trigger point treatment
Thanks to all of you--Charlie, Cora, etc.--for this very helpful discussion. I really appreciate the analytical, let's-see-the-proof approach. And I appreciate all of your willingness to hang in there, through some awkward moments, to try to get at the facts. One of the best things I've read on this...
