Re: Has anyone been told to sit down MORE to cure PN?
Hi Claire, I am six years post-op and still have trouble sitting. If I travel two hours is the max (limits going too far) or I am in agony. Being on the computer is not good - I think we tend to lean forward a bit. If I go out to lunch with a friend who knows me well they now look for the soft seats...

Re: Pregabalin side effects
Hi Helen (?) Nice to hear from you. Dr B does see patients on the NHS as I had to transfer to NHS after the nerve blocks were paid for by the hospital who "did it". He heads up the Pain Management Team at the National Hospital for Neurology. He is not a surgeon and passed me onto Prof Carl...

Re: Padma 28
Hi Alan, I read your post with interest and am going to see my Homeopath today so I am going to ask her about this Padma 28. I feel sure that if she does not know she will try to do her utmost to find out. I am intolerant to most meds so turned to Homeopathy. I do have a remedy that really helps wit...

Re: still waiting & getting nowhere
Hi everyone - I am another Jenny P, I have popped on and off for a while but in between have been onto TIPNA which unfortunately has ceased due to the fact that poor Greg was exhausted! I have read all your comments with such interest - I had four nerve blocks administered by Dr Baranowski after goi...

Re: Pregabalin side effects
Hi Geraldine, I am now six years post-op for two PNe decompressions, among other operations that were necessary following a "bad" operation. I was on pregabalin 150 per day and was being encouraged to increase to 900 by Dr Baranowski, Pain Management Consultant at the Hospital of Neurology...

Re: Six years down the line!
Kath, I am not sure what an MRN is. I have had two MRI's but as we all know they do not show up nerves. I have read about a machine in New York that can pick up entrapments of the PN by 3 Tesla imaging and the doctor who reads the results is Dr Hollis POtter. To my knowledge there is no such machine...

Re: Six years down the line!
Hi Manon, I read your post with interest cos I too am under Dr B. I can't say I have ever heard of Dr Filler, where does he practise? I had two decompressions done by Professor Carlstedt, he works alongside Dr B at the London Hospital of Neurology, I am surprised you have not been referred to him. I...

Re: depression and anxiety
Grammy - hi- I am relatively new to this site but I think this and TIPNA are wonderful and already have helped me so much. I have had PNe for 6 years following a SSF (instead of a hysterectomy). I cannot take a lot of prescription drugs as my body does not respond very well. I have been going to a H...

Re: what hysterectomies most likely to cause PN?
I went into hospital for a hysterectomy and at the very last minute the surgeon talked me into having a Sacro-Spinus Fixation. This is where the uterus (in my case prolapsed) is hitched to the Sacro-Spinus ligament with a circular stitch. As we all now know the Sacro-Spinus ligament is right behind ...

Re: Post Surgery update.
Hi Ali, I believe both my ligaments were cut and not severed. I have also read that the transgluteal method exposes the nerve to air which MAY at a later date produce fibrous tissue to entrap the nerve again - I really dont know what has happened to me at this point in time. The right was done exact...
