Re: Erectile Dysfunction - What helps?

Hi Matt It certainly sounds like diminished nerve function, causing a loss of sensation and motor functions. Lyrica would not cause increased numbness, as far as I know. Ongoing nerve entrapment/irritation causes this gradual diminishment in the nerve function, resulting in what you are experiencing...

Re: Surgery/treatment dilemma

He explained it as injecting crystals (the steriod is suspended in liquid) into the scar fibre which will break or soften it up over time. I said, "so wont the scar just grow back even denser then??". He had no answer to that. I am sceptical, because I thought it was purely just for inflam...

Re: Surgery/treatment dilemma

I have seen my doctor yesterday. He is quite flabbergasted that my condition has deteriated so rapidly, and says that it is "very strange". Especially because scar tissue would usually pop up as an issue, if it was going to be one, by the 6 month mark when it is in the contraction phase. L...

Re: Surgery/treatment dilemma

Thank you for the kind words everyone. I am lucky as i can be in this situation I guess, as my doctor is the only dedicated PN doctor in Australia. But he really does not have too many answers once we get to this point. The PT in the clinic seems to be totally dedicated to just stretching muscles in...

Re: Surgery/treatment dilemma

12 month update post-dorsal release surgery: In short 11 months of slight improvement has now evaporated in the space of 4 weeks! Most rapidly in the past week, for no apparant reason. After being off all pain medication for 6 months, I have had to go back onto Lyrica at higher doses than ever just ...

Re: Did labral tear surgery reduce your PN/pelvic/perineal p

Thanks for the great reply Lernica! I was not a runner per se, but definitely did a lot of running incidental to playing and training for soccer, and also triathlons. Although I think it is a long shot as being causal to my PN, at the very least I want to make sure I don't end up with PN & hip p...

Re: Did labral tear surgery reduce your PN/pelvic/perineal p

Congratulations to you girlsfor finding a solution for your horrible situation. This thread has piqued my interest and renewded my enthusiasm for finding a cure for myself! Reading the various medical reports linked within here, cycling seems to be a strong link with hip dysfunction (I was a cyclist...

Re: dorsal nerve block

Hi flyer If I remember correctly, pn_down_under the guy from Australia who had enourmoously complicated multiple entrapments, is after 6 months reporting significant progress. Just wondering if these words are from Dr Aszmann, or simply your recollection from some of my previous posts? Its just that...

Re: Progress with Dorsal Nerve Decompression

Hi BikerGeorge Been a couple of months since your last update, so hopefully you have overcome a temporary flare-up. Has Dr Dellon given anymore consideration to your recovery and potential reasons or secondary solutions? Regarding your post about doctor definition of surgery success, I totally agree...

Re: Progress with Dorsal Nerve Decompression

And you are a daddy now right! Congratulations to you and your family. How's your sitting pain, sex, etc? Thanks Jessica. Yes, we now have a perfect little boy, about 5 weeks old (born 3 weeks early). So I have been well distracted from this stupid nerve in the meantime. My sitting pain is about th...
