Re: Greg T going to grad school

I have substituted before, but it had gotten to the point where I'd be called maybe 2-3 times a year. Just not worth that one meeting you have to go to during the summertime once a year if you ask me. I'm thinking about doing what is necessary to get involved in tutoring math, whether it's for money...

Re: Greg T going to grad school

Well, I gave up after a little bit more than a week. The information just wouldn't sink in. I was sitting pretty comfortably though, in my nice chair and cushion. But I was truly overwhelmed because I just could not grasp certain aspects and I felt that I was holding up the others that were learning...

Re: Greg T going to grad school

Yeah it's weird I think the result of all the politics that have led to "teaching to the test" - I work in inner city schools with kids who in general do not particularly want to be there and do not seem to have a well rounded education at all...but they are all little math geniuses who k...

Re: Greg T going to grad school

Congrats Greg! Have you gone on the website for Praxis and taken the sample tests? I substitute teach, for which you only take the Praxis I and II (math portion is simple conceptual knowledge and requires no studying at all)...but I hit up the specialty Praxis test samples and took some of the prac...

Re: Greg T going to grad school

Good luck to you, Janet. I actually hesitated to even mention this venture of mine until (or if) actually passed the Praxis test. You're right, what they study these days does seem to be more than what I studied 28 years ago. I may fall on my face, but I'll be able to say that I did try. My wife and...

Greg T going to grad school

Hey, for whoever may be interested, I'm trying to get back into the work force. I've been on disability since 2008 and I've done some work here and there (painting, Census, gardening), but I'm making an attempt at getting off of disability by getting into a grant/program within my state (Louisiana) ...

getting help in the UK for pelvic pain

Hey, I'm not sure if this information is available on this website. I got it recently from sending a few emails back and forth with Judy Birch from the UK. She is very active regarding getting help for people who have pelvic pain and she's a great person to be acquainted with in the UK. The organiza...

Re: Farewell to Tipna (www.tipna.org) party, Feb 4

Hey, Lotta, Catherine and Karyn! Glad to "see" you all. I hope that some of you can make it for the 4th. Thanks to you for the kind comments above. I'm hoping we can all have a nice time on tipna before it ends. Many of the past PN websites have ended under bad terms for various reasons, b...

Farewell to Tipna (www.tipna.org) party, Feb 4

Hey, this is Greg Thibeaux from http://www.tipna.org. Tipna stands for The International Pudendal Neuropathy Association and many of you may have been members of the website at some point in time. Anyway, we're no longer going to be on the internet any more because there is another PN website that i...

Re: About PN forums, please remind everyone......

I've been more involved with people who've had surgery in Houston, so more of the cures I know about come from there. So, this is not to say that this is where "the surgery cures" are coming from, but just more of the ones that I know of. I still know of people who don't have successful su...
