Re: Wise Anderson protocol

Hi Gigas, Thanks for posting! I actually had an iniguial/femoral hernia back in the early 80's. I diagnosed myself before I went to see a doctor. It was easy as I had the classic bulge that was there when I was standing and I would have to lie on my back and push it back in. It was located on my lef...

Re: Femoral Hernia....OP or not

Hi Amanda, I had a femoral/inguinal hernia back in the 80's. They're very easy to feel. In fact if your doctor could not find it he needs to give up his license. I self-diagnosed before I ever went to see a doctor. I would have to lie flat on the bed and push it back in, but it would not stay in for...

Neuromodulation instead of surgery

I don't know if I'll go on to need surgery but before I ever consider surgery I would first try Neuromodulation. Here is a radio blog from the 'Pelvic messenger' that's of interest. Dr Peters talk about PN(E) besides other conditions. I found it very interesting. :) Here is the link: http://www.blog...

Re: Sacral pain - is it torsion/SIJD?

So sorry you're suffering from these extremely tight muscles. It such a horrible experience to not be able to get to sleep and therefore escape the pain. I know nothing about SIJD but can it also be your bodies way of protecting your pn? In the meantime you need to break this cycle of tight muscles....

Am I getting better or worse?

I have had pn for less than one year. I was diagnosed very early. My earliest symptom was atypical. I had pain in my abdomen that only hurt when I moved certain ways. Soon after sitting was a major problem, except for the toilet seat. I've had the luxury of not having to work which gave me the freed...

Re: Cymbalta

Rick I am so sorry that you are losing your insurance.

Don, I couldn't agree with you more. It is shameful anyone should have to worry about health care in the supposedly richest nation in the world. We need to get rid of the insurance companies and have medicare for all!

Re: diahrea

I can't say I have diaherra, but sometimes I do have to go many times a day. Never had this problem before pn. Yes it definitely irritates my pudendal. :o
It's something to ask your doctor about. Most people get constipated from the drugs, but it might have the opposite effect on you.

Re: ultrasound blocks

Hi Robert,

I had a nerve block done by Dr Attaman in Seattle and I think he used ultra sound for guide. You can call his office if you want to know for sure.
