Re: New guy

Dr. Jason Attaman is PN aware in Seattle. You need to get your pain under control and practice hyperavoidance. Start the SS disability process. We can only learn how to best manage this condition. SUrgical results are not promising.

Best,

Re: newcomer

Greg, there is much discussion on the fb group about Dr. Tibet Erdogrus surgery. He himself is a member of our forum. He does laparoscopic decompression of the nerve..so minimally invasive. He also uses an omental flap to wrap around and protect the nerve from re-entrapment. I think he is a genius. ...

Re: Surgery

Erin,

Do you know where you are entrapped? Would you consider Dr. Erdogrus surgery in Turkey? The risk of re-entrapment seems much lower with his laparoscopic approach. It infuriates me that no surgeons here in the US are using this minimally invasive technique.

Re: PN Surgery?!

We have only 1 patient who reports an 80% improvement over on the fb site. Please be sure you know where you are entrapped and that you are having the correct procedure done for that area. Surgery in my mind should not be considered unless you are ready to jump off the bridge. We just do not see gre...

Re: PRF

I've had a positive experience. My rectal and sacral pain are gone completely. Hin the evenings if I have sat too much during the day I have deep left pelvic pain (in the place I'm entrapped, at the SSL) which is generally 5/10. I will definitely repeat the procedure if t hose other symptoms return....

Re: pudendal nerve and the spine

As in my personal case, lumbar dysfunction can ultimately cause PN issues. My lumbar spine hypo/hypermobilities caused a sacral torsion which in tun czaused damage to my SSL. Hence my pudendal nerve is entrappe3d in scar tissue at that anatomic location per Potter MRI and my symptomology. Definitely...

Fluoroscopy-guided blocks

Anyone have their PN blocks done under fluoro? I can't imagine how they would see the nerve. My previous ones were done under ultrasound and were + at the ligaments.

Thanks, cari
