According to my pain dr. cymbalta is more effective to relieve pain and has less side effects than effexor.

Re: AT WHAT DOSE OF PREGABALIN/LYRICA DID YOU GET PAIN RELIE
I amn taking 600 mg of lyrica now. At the height of my pain I was at 1500 mg a day. I also take 180 of cymbalta, 300 mg of bupropion, 10 mg of oxybutynin-xl, 250 mg of ciprofloxacin and .4 mg of flomax. The oxybutynin-xl is an antispasmadic to deal with bladder spasms. Re: Looking for advice - penile pain
Hello,
I have had penile burning pain on and off for years.
Difficult to manage, seems to be related to bladder spasms.
An antispasmodic has helped me greatly.
Tried vesicare, too constipating.
I now use oxybutynin-xl, 10 mg x 2. Helps a lot.

Re: Amitriptyline and Lyrica memory effects
Hello, I am on both lyrica (600 mg) and Cymbalta (180 mg). Memory deficits are a problem constantly. Often, I have difficulty saying a word that I know is part of my vocabulary. Embarassing, if in company of a person who in unaware of my condition. I am considering increasing lyrica back to 900 mg. ...

Re: pain down to 1 out of 10
I really haven't had any problems with the Cymbalta. I only got some pain relief at 120 mg, 180 helped even more. I had to go to above 600 mg on Lyrica, before I got any relief. I am trying to stay at 600 now. My low pain days were short lived. Back to sixes or sevens now. I am thinking of just embr...

A week ago, after a few days of gruesome pain, mainly in my penis; burning and pinching (8 or 9 out of 10) I changed my meds. I now take: 180 mg of Cymbalta at breakfast. 600 mg of Lyrica at breakfast. 54 mg of Concerta at breakfast - for alertness. .4 mg of flomax. Daily vitamin. I added the follow...

Re: Penis Pain!
Have you tried an antispasmodic such as Detrol LA. I had a diagnosis from Hollis Potter as being entrapped Dorsal nerve to my penis by pelvic varices. Unable to come up with treatment satisfactory to me. However, I had read that tip of penis pain could be caused by bladder contractions. I had proble...

Re: Can piriformis syndrome cause pudendal pain HELP...
I saw the post about bladder issues that might cause PN pain. I have had a significant amount of pain at the tip of my penis; pinching and gnawing. I ran across something about bladder spasms causing neuropathic pain, talked to my uro and tried Vesicare, 25 mg. The pinching sensation was gone in 3 w...

Beverly,
Embolization by an interventional radiologist or a vascular surgeon is a
common procedure to deal with pelvic varices. Especially for a woman.
Take care.

Re: Pelvic floor myalgia
Lernica, Have you had a MRI done by Dr. Potter in NY, or wherever they are available now? My MRI showed compression of my pudendal nerve by varices in my pelvic floor. Matches my symptoms. I feel that no matter what therapy I try, it won't resolve my pain until I can get these nerves uncompressed. K...
