Re: Dr Dellon's Opinion on STL During Surgery

Hi LottaNerve, Was Dr. Dellon able to identify the source of your pain? Hopefully it went away by itself. Hi Mulan, Sorry for not responding sooner. I will be posting my one-month report, which will answer any questions for those interested in my experience with Dr. Dellon. I can give a short answe...

Re: Dr Dellon's Opinion on STL During Surgery

Dear Grace, I am with Lernica and Charlie in expressing my sorrow for your suffering. I agree with you about getting in debates, and have no desire, energy or heart for it either. We need to all pull together in our common suffering. The only thing I want to share with my fellow PNE'ers is kindness ...

Re: Dr Dellon's Opinion on STL During Surgery

Thanks Pelvis for your post. As you pointed out, the pudendal nerve IS a peripheral nerve. Peripheral nerves are any nerves in the body other than the brain or spinal nerves, which do not regenerate. That's why an injury to the neck or spinal column can cause paralysis. Peripheral nerves, however, d...

Re: A Headache in the Pelvis Clinic

I'm another one who fell for what was then called "The Stanford Protocol" ... It's hard for me to believe that anyone would knowingly mislead chronic pain sufferers for profit. I thought David Wise was genuine and caring, but the further I get from the clinic, the worse I feel about it. I ...

Re: PUBLIC CHARITY 501 (c) (3) status

I would also like to thank you, moderators, for doing the work to make this possible. It gives HOPE more credibility as a "Health Organization for Pudendal Education" as well as a greater sense of purpose. I've worked on those humungous 501c packages too - so to those of you who put in all...

Re: confused about what to do with mri results/scar tissue?

I guess I should jump in here too with my experience with Dr. Jerome Weiss in 2007. I had a nerve block (2 injections actually) through my left buttock - with my legs held up by his assistant. A HUGE needle was used to penetrate all the way through to my pudendal nerve. It hurt like heck, and on the...

GABAPENTIN WORKS!!!

Thank you friends! Guess what! I got so desperate two nights ago that I took a neurontin (gabapentin) in the middle of the night. And then later I woke up WITHOUT that horrible burning bladder pain!!! I felt like I could breathe again. I have now been back on for two 1/2 days and I'm feeling so much...

Re: Gabapentin questions....

First of all --- "moron-tin" --- I LOVE THAT! I am in a quandary as far Gabapentin - and Lyrica as well. I just weaned off gabapentin/neurontin - I had decided (at 1200 mg per day - 300 mg pills 4 x day) that it wasn't doing much for my pain, and the cognitive effects were really a b...

Re: UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Emily B - THANK you for this link to the "Invisible Disabilities" website. I had no idea this existed! http://www.invisibledisabilities.org/ Check it out my dear PNE friends. I read the page Emily sent and listened to the talk posted on the main page. This is such an interesting issue - an...
