Re: Weight

At one point in this five year pain journey, I decided it would the year I licked this thing, and would do all I could to help myself. I walked, did all the stretching exercises my physical therapist gave me and lost over 30 lbs. I felt somehow that this would help the pain. But it did nothing at al...

Re: Suboxone

Hi everyone. I've posted on this before and am coming to a new crossroads, which is rather scary. I have had Pudendal pain for over 5 years now, been through the gamut of doctors. PT, drugs, etc. Nothing helps. The only drugs which gave me relief were Valium and Vicodin. When this pain first started ...

Vicodin and crying, depression

I havent posted in a while and have in the meantime tried more doctors, medications, and PT. I decided that after everything, the drug that helped the most was Hydrocodone ( Vicodin). I also take Valium in the evening after I have taken my max on the Vicodin and need some relaxing of the pelvic floo...

Re: Anyone have vaginal nerve blocks? Increased pain

I did have vaginal nerve blocks. They were very painful, caused bleeding for some days and a great pain flare up. This lasted about two weeks before I got back to my normal level of pain. they also did nothing to help. The doctor is considered a pelvic pain specialist - is it any wonder we become mo...

Re: savella

I posted earlier about Savella. Am now almost off of it, very slow decrease over weeks.I am actually taking half a 12.5 every morning. This drug did nothing to help me, just very unpleasant side effects, sweating, headaches, crying, finally a complete inability to urinate. That was the last straw. G...

Re: savella

I have been taking Savella for a few months now. The plan, after seeing a pain specialist, was for me to start on Savella, then go on Topamax and end with Nucynta, all 3. So I started with Savella at very low doses, 12.5 per day for two weeks, then upped to 12.5 twice a day for a couple of weeks, eac...

Re: blog on methadone and chronic pain

Just went through methadone withdrawal, one of the nastiest two weeks I have ever endured. And all for nothing. It did nothing for my pain and I had difficult side effects, very sleepy, paranoid. I would not have been able to function at any higher dose and yet the doctor planned on upping me from m...
