Re: Surgery did not work

Hi, Just an update. My physiotherapist has told me the main muscle which I have in spasm is the obturator internus from an internal examination. She said the nerve runs through there so with the muscle in spasm it would be causing me the burning pain. My pain management specialist said to me he wasn...

Re: 3years and now have positive PN diagnosis

Robbia, I am from Australia and have similar symptoms to you. Mine all started following a botched hemorrhoidectomy with complications of an abscess and a fistula. About 6 months after everything had healed I developed this pelvic floor burning spasm pain. My specialist in QLD knows Thierry vancalli...

Have you tried some botox injections into the pelvic floor? You are based in Australia?

Re: Treatment for Neuropathy (disk hernias+dislocated coccyx

Hi, Yes I also agree the coccyx should be considered an important part of pudendal type pain. Last night I noticed when emptying my bladder i had to strain(a big no no but I wanted to be completely empty). Immediately when this happened I could feel a shooting pain in my tailbone in response to the ...

It is a constant burning rectal pain. I take targin and 25mg of endep at night. I also have endone for breakth...

Re: Stimulation

Hi Melissa, I have tried a peripheral stimulator which covers the nerves outside of the sacrum. Unfortunately it wasn't making enough of a difference to warrant getting the permanent implant. I may go in for another week long trial in the next few months which will try up into the sacrum itself. I w...

Re: Norflex Anti muscle spasm medication. Awesome

Hi,

I have some of this stuff under the brand name of norgesic. My GP told me it was a muscle relaxant but not addictive like valium?

I have only used it occasionally when my base meds lyrica and endep don't cover my pain. It seemed to work pretty good for my severe pain flares.

Re: Pain

I know this is a bit of a late reply but you are certainly not alone. I have been in pain for over 2 years now from what started out with as a similar condition. I had hemroid surgery in 2011, after all was healed after a few complications been left with a constantly burning rectum with pelvic floor...
