Re: Nucynta ER
Just an update..
It does work better for my pain than the targin. I have felt a little spacey on it, but have been told this could withdrawal from the targin as well.

Re: Nucynta ER
Just in the process of switching from targin to palexia 50mg which I believe is nucynta. I have been on targin for a few years now and doesn't seem to be working as good as it used to.

I sleep with an electric heat pad and it helps with the anal burning. Worth a try.

Thanks I will try that.....
My MRI result showed an annular tear l5/s1
Not sure if that could be causing some of my symptoms. Back to the pain specialist in August.

Good luck with the MRN, I had mine done in Brisbane. QLD medical imaging I think it was.
Mine showed no entrapment yet I have pain and have continued to have pain for about 4.5 years now...
MRN is a good idea to at least rule out any serious pathology in the pelvis.

Surgery did not work
There is the possiblity that the the botox injected into the obturator internus muscle made my piriformis muscle spasm up more? Making my sciatica worse? I find a heat pad helps. At the moment i am waiting for the botox to wear off. Its been 2 months so far, so another month or so and it should star...

Re: Surgery did not work
An update, After all this time they seem to think my pain is coming from the sacral nerves and always has. Just lately I have had a lot more sciatica on the same side as my rectal pain. To be honest when I first developed pelvic pain I got myself checked for a DVT in my left leg because of the leg p...
