Re: PN or PNE? by stephanie prendegast
Stephanie P says: If a patient has a slow, insidious onset of pain that eventually becomes burning, then that’s probably not entrapment but rather myofascial pelvic pain that is affecting the pudendal nerve [/i] That's what I've always felt about my own PN, and it's why I think TP massage is so effe...

Re: Valentine's Day
Lucky you Helen! I get the same moth-eaten recycled Tesco Value card every year (if he can find it) and that's it. Gimme your eggs!
See, HM, you've got a transatlantic rival!

Re: workstation idea
Yep, the modern world is designed around sitting, P-M, just a shame the human body isn't (and that's without the additional problems of PN/E). So many health problems caused by long term sitting, not that we get that chance! How are you nowadays? I see you're still under Dr.G, as am I.

Re: Pilates cylinder
That's interesting, Helen. Looks a comfortable position to maintain too! I can see legions of PN-ers taking up floorspace with this and the family dog/cat/child thinking this is a great game, let's pile on! . Topically, I saw Dr. Greenslade only last week who recommended core strengthening ...

Re: May be getting somewhere at last :)
Helen, only just read this thread as have been absent from the forum as you know. Very sorry about your mum, that's a cruel ending to a life of giving to others and to have to worry on top of that about paying for her care is despicable. Brilliant letter from Dr.G, I'm really, really pleased for yo...

Re: Do I Have PNE?
Brilliant to hear your success story, Steve. Can you detail what kind of physio work Bill Taylor did to achieve this turn around for you. Did he do internal pelvic floor massage, did he work on external surrounding muscles and fascia. . were you able to do some of this yourself at home? Spill the b...

Re: Sacral pain - is it torsion/SIJD?
Dr.G is a consultant anaethetist in pain management, Faith, but he can refer patients to his surgeon, Dr.Wong. As far as I understood things, Dr.G and members of his team have studied in France with Prof. Robert, so it would be the TG approach. It was very unfortunate that that particular day I was ...

Re: Sacral pain - is it torsion/SIJD?
Thanks Violet, and Fall_Girl too. I've had a lot to think about since my appointment with Dr.G, who is a very nice man, swears a fair bit, makes you laugh. But he doesn't believe in SIJD, which was a pretty big disappointment to me. He offered me 2 CT-guided blocks, think he said 2wks apart? He also...

Re: Sacral pain - is it torsion/SIJD?
Am relieved to report after a month that my sit-pain levels are back to what they were before the osteopath tripled it - I feel very lucky about that. Lumbar and mid-back muscles are still stiff. Am due to see Dr.Greenslade this coming wednesday, and will update if he can give me any sacral strength...

Re: depression and anxiety
Grammy, I've suffered with anxiety - not depression - on an off for a couple of decades. Mostly off, I'm glad to say, but when I'm in the depths of it its pretty severe. Just wanted to say that anxiety and depression are both chemical imbalances (though different chemicals for each), and suffering f...
