Re: What is SIJD and how do I know if I have it?

Ok Birdlife, let's put it this way...she tortured me and beat me up good, and got away with it by calling it trigger point massage You must have suffered dreadfully, tis the price of your sins for not having the real McCoy!! What on earth is Bindegewebsmassage! Re: What is SIJD and how do I know if I have it?

If you need repetitive work on one muscle group, this gives you a hint that there is an underlying cause to unearth. That's given me something to think about HerMaj, the other side of the coin! Have had quite a bit of thinking to do on here of late. Thank you for making my grey cells work :) . You ...

Re: What is SIJD and how do I know if I have it?

Love your informative posts, HM . My twopenn'orth is minor but might be useful. My sports physio didn't actually mention the term SIJD but said my right hip was fractionally pulling up my leg, and the prime culprit was the quadratus lumborum muscle (QL). The pirifornis was also contracted and there ...

Re: Letter to those without Chronic Pain - Medical Times Art

What a fantastic outpouring, Amanda, nothing can top that.
People (even family) nearly always say the same to me "how's your back?" I always say its fine, its my bum that hurts actually. Goes quite quiet then!

Re: Prolonged Sitting Causing PN

I feel for you having panic attacks on top of everything else Bradley, just wanted to say you have to let those come - horrible though they absolutely are - and just let them reach their peak each time and fade off. If you try to stop them coming, the added tension of blocking them creates another ...

Re: 3 Tesla MRI in Cheltenham ..

Thanks susanjane. Though it wasn't so much curt as short and uninformative and I was a bit taken aback (especially when she addressed me as "Mr" :? ). I looked her name up and saw her job description was radiographer's assistant, so my first email probably didn't stray very far past recep...

Re: Insomnia

Hi sam, Really glad you're getting some sleep now, but still doesn't sound enough hours in one go. Valium is good in the short term, calms you down and gets you to sleep. But you need to stay asleep, and so two things might help you do that. You need to address your worries and concerns about your ...

Re: 3 Tesla MRI in Cheltenham ..

My heart went out to you when I read this Ahh, thanks peaches, I had to unexpectedly reach for the tissue box, I'm not used to sympathy (except on here, thank you people!). We don't always realise how emotionally depleted we get with the pain, the battling, the lack of sleep, etc. Hugs to you for a...

Re: 3 Tesla MRI in Cheltenham ..

Have emailed CobaltHealth in Cheltenham, asking if they are PN aware, mentioned the huge advances in diagnosis made by the Potter 3T scan in NYC, her software and expertise, mentioned the need for this expertise in the UK (and the interest across Europe this would engender for their business of cou...

Re: 3 Tesla MRI in Cheltenham ..

That's an interesting read, thanks Susanjane. I havent had a reply yet from Cheltenham to see if they've made any advancements, will post when I get one. We're in such a cleft stick here in the UK. Even when we find the right scanner we dont have the radiologists with the expertise nor the software...
