Re: Pudendal Nerve Decompression Surgery - post surgery reco

Hi Andrew,
Wish you much luck with your op tomorrow! Look forward with great interest to read both your history and your post-op success :).
Take care, and take things easy afterwards.

Re: 3 Tesla MRI in Cheltenham ..

Thanks Don, I appreciate what you're saying. My experience so far in the UK with this affliction is that there are hardly any doors TO open, but a Potter MRI would satisfy me personally to know exactly what and where my problems are. It would be a relief to know, even if the prognosis doesn't help ...

Re: 3 Tesla MRI in Cheltenham ..

I'm glad Dr.G didnt find it necessary to examine you Calluna, what a considerate man. Hope you are still improving from the op :). Yours and Helen's are complicated cases, am fairly certain mine would be relatively straightforward so maybe Dr. G could advise me just by my history to date plus the b...

Re: 3 Tesla MRI in Cheltenham ..

I had my 1T scan with me when I went to see Dr G initially but he didn't ever ask to see it btw Dr. G would have trouble taking a Potter scan seriously then if he doesn't want to look at it :? ;) . 'everyone rightly states be your own advocate', fine if there is someone to advo or cate to. [/color]...

Re: Reduce tension in perineum

Hi Reckless, I do my own TP (triggerpoint massage) on just about every muscle from lower waist to knees, including the glutes and all lumbar, buttock and thigh muscles. In the last few years, coincidental with PN/E, all of those muscles are tight for me most of the time :( . I couldn't afford to kee...

Re: 3 Tesla MRI in Cheltenham ..

It's crazy that you don't have anything from Dr. B in your follow up records. Maybe he forgot. . . in the same way that the pain when giving birth is easily forgotten Yes, worse than crazy, Helen, and don't get me started on that throw away comment of his again  ~ speaks volumes, doesn't it. ...

Re: 3 Tesla MRI in Cheltenham ..

There's one at Frenchay, as well. Hi Calluna, So Does Dr. Greenslade have you use the one at his hospital as backup to his diagnosis? Sorry if anyone has already posted on that, but haven't come across anything except that Dr.G is an excellent PNE consultant and also a compassionate man, which is a...

3 Tesla MRI in Cheltenham ..

I've been looking at the cost for a 3T Tesla MRI in New York with Dr.Hollis Potter. I felt like an urchin wistfully looking in a toyshop window at xmas, as AliPasha said on TIPNA that it cost him (or his insurance) $2800 which is £1800. So what is there on offer in the UK? Not a lot it seems, can't...

Re: Sitting

PS. When I said i couldnt find any UK links, I meant for the exact type I bought which the box says is a HoMedics product. Lots of other ones about. I liked this particular one because its got rounded contoured edges and a removable cover. Just did find one solitary link here in the UK and it was a...

Re: Sitting

Most people in the UK and Australia wouldn't have health insurance cover Violet as we have a public healthcare system. Yes, there are many faults with the NHS system here in the UK but cost isn't often one of them, mercifully! Great to read you have a similar set up in Australia, Catherine - though...
