Re: Hysteroscopy & PN

Hi Rosemary, just seen your post. I underwent a hysteroscopy without anaesthetic, 2yrs ago when i was presenting with identical symptoms to yours. The hysteroscopy didnt affect my PN (i have perineal pain, left and right though worse on left), what it did do was cause wave after wave of labour-like ...

Re: Physiotherapists in London or SE of UK

Hi Helen, can you repost that link as keep getting a 404 error? Have heard good things of Helen Keeble who i think is in Barnes in south London. Sessions with her are not as expensive as they would be in central London, eg with Maria Elliott. But has anyone found they can be referred to a pn-aware P...

Sounds like NorthernSpy to me, Violet, what do you say LeilaRose? Alan, surgery seems to be pretty risky to me too, which is why I'm not going down that route unless my quality of life is such that I'd have to. A hot bath gives me some temporary sit-pain relief (not for long though because you're si...

Re: PN or PNE? by stephanie prendegast

Simple blood test for calcium levels in the case of calcium stones, ordinary x-ray to see them with if large enough, ultrasound for stones caused by uric acid, and spiral CT-scans that can pick up cystine crystals and very small stones. To say kidney stones can be mistaken for PN/PNE requires a hug...

Re: PN or PNE? by stephanie prendegast

LeilaRose said All of the butt and genital pains (etc.) complained of here can be caused by (for example) kidney stones We are all hacked off by previous misdiagnoses along the way, but kidney stones would be a rare one. Simple blood test/xray would rule those out straight away. You don't like Steph...

Re: Pilates cylinder

Well said Calluna! :-) BL? Er, British Library, Butterfly Lover, Broken Leg, Bill of Lading? Now I don't know what I am, Helen! Have got 36 of Terry Pratchett's books (job lot, eBay) and a bargain they were too (in lots of ways besides price!). Certainly I've never grown up, what a terrible thought!...

Well BF (aka best friend, not boyfriend :? :) ), sounds like you've been reminiscing on the Baileys with this post, lol (mine's a triple malibu + coke, ta!). This was called "bundling" in my son's day at senior school. He disappeared beneath the entire 3rd form in the playground one day. ...

Re: Pudendal Nerve Decompression Surgery - post surgery reco

Hi rj, am so sorry your bipolar has been affected by continuous pain and tiredness, you don't need that on top of your physical pain. Have you been waiting long for your surgery, do they know your situation? Some docs don't take account of the tremendous stress long term pain causes, and need to be...

Re: Weight

Hi Dave, Yes logically you'd think it'd make a difference wouldn't you, but I lost half a stone bringing me to the weight i should be for my height (or lack of it  ) and the only difference it made was to bladder frequency. Just a couple of lbs seems to make a difference to that. But sit pain...

Re: workstation idea

THAT looks to be a great chair Meliora. It's going to be expensive though as they're too frightened to tell you the price! I just found the same chair on another website, which points out that for the ergonomics to be effective you'd have to buy the hydraulic workstation as well. Start saving!
