Re: Physical therapy does it work
If its the proper kind of physical therapy, and if you stick to it and don't expect to be instantly cured than yes, it will likely work... I disagree. I had more than 100 sessions of PT including many sessions with Tim Sawyer, the Stanford Protocol PT. It never cured me. Yes, I was better for a few...

Re: PN Surgery?!
We have only 1 patient who reports an 80% improvement over on the fb site. Please be sure you know where you are entrapped and that you are having the correct procedure done for that area. Surgery in my mind should not be considered unless you are ready to jump off the bridge. We just do not see gr...

Re: Physical therapy does it work
Physical therapy, does it work? It didn't work for me.I have had rectal spasms(aka Levator Spasms)for 20 years and I haven't found anything that would work. Since nothing has worked, it must be PNE. From what I have read on this forum and another forums ,PNE surgery has not helped either. Some peopl...

What causes Pudendal Nerve Entrapment?
I have had Levator Spasms of the rectal muscles for 20 years. I also have burning before and after urinating. I have seen a urologist and he said I had no infection. I have heard that Pudendal Nerve Entrapment can cause these spasms and urinary problems.I heard that weight lifting, biking(long dista...

Re: Pain Management Or Surgery
Hi carolynm, I agree with you about this problem being financially devastating. I have spent a lot of money in the last 20 years. I am now on medicare with a supplement and that helps a little, but some Doctors like Dr Dellon do not take medicare.Like I said, I am going to give pain management a try...

Re: Pain Management Or Surgery
Hi janetm2, EGS and physical therapy did not help me.Since the physical therapy didn't help, the physical therapist said I probably have Pudendal Nerve Entrapment.I have tried everything except botox and pain mangement. I have been told that PNE causes Levator Spasms. If the botox or pain mangement do...

Pain Management Or Surgery
I am looking into pain mangement. I have had Levator Spasms(orPNE) for the last 20 years. Levator Spasms are spasms of the rectal muscles.I have read some posts about how PNE surgery has helped some people, and for some it has made them worse. There is always a chance that the PNE surgery could make ...

Re: Has anyone had symptoms go away for months only to reocc
I have rectal spasms(Levator Spasms) that are caused by PNE. From April to July of 2010 my pain level went from 6 or 7 down to 1 or 2. I really thought these spasms were going away, but in September the pain level went back up to 6 or 7.
Re: Dr Dellon
Ali, I was thinking about seeing DR.Aszmann, but since you said your surgery was a failure, I think I will hold off seeing any PNE doctor. I have Levator Spasms and sometimes it bothers me a lot and other times it will ease off a little. I couldn't imagine this problem being any worse than it is. I m...
