Re: Did labral tear surgery reduce your PN/pelvic/perineal p

I don't think it is a strange thing to post here at all. It took me about a year and a half to get diagnosed with my labral tear after having itchy/painful PN symptoms. I think more research needs to be done between the hip/PN and SIJD/PN connections so that we can better figure out who hip surgery ...

Re: Please help?? New person.

Hey Antonia, As Janet said, the labral tear is definitely fixable! I had my labral tear surgery about a year ago and my PN is pretty much completely under control now, thank God. I've never been diagnosed with a hamstring tear, but I have been diagnosed with some hamstring strain causing sit bone pa...

Re: Pudendal Nerve Decompression Surgery - post surgery reco

Duloxetine is cymbalta, right? When I first tried Cymbalta I had to break open the smallest dose capsules and split the little pellets inside into two groups and just take half so that I wouldn't be dizzy and nauseous. Eventually I worked my way up. You can't take it with tramadol though, or it will...

Re: How to go about dating men?

Mary Jane, Please do not give up hope of all those things! I am also 26 years old. When I first started with PN 2.5 years ago, I though all those things you listed were lost to me as well. In fact, my fiancé did break up with me because I could not have sex and was always in pain. After reading abou...

Re: Found lady cured by Lyrica

Good to know, thanks! I have been taking 300mg of Lyrica daily for 1.5 years and I always wonder when/if I will stop taking it. I don't really mind it, but this gives me hope that one day I might stop it altogether. Very cool.

Re: possible PN in NYC - new to the forum

Hi, I'm sorry you are going through this and I just want to throw in my two cents because I have navigated the NYC area providers. Definitely get a 3T MRI with Dr. Potter. HSS was actually not in network for me, but they have an amazing financial aid plan, so I paid very little for my scans in the e...

Re: Alcohol Helps?

I don't have a penis and I rarely drink, but maybe your symptoms are better with alcohol because it is a nervous system depressant? Would it work similarly to a drug like Lyrica that calms down your nervous system? Maybe you could look into that if you haven't already. I agree that alcoholism isn't ...

Re: Jerry Hesch Treatment

Beverley, I'm so glad you are out of your flare! I take Lyrica too, and while I know you wanted to get off drugs completely since your surgery, I'm glad it's helping. Keep us posted on your PT progress.

Hugs,
Jackie
