Re: Did labral tear surgery reduce your PN/pelvic/perineal p

Hi all, So ... I had arthroscopic labral repair surgery yesterday. I spent the night in hospital and have just returned home. So far the hip/surgical pain is fairly moderate and, for the moment at least, I have no burning or stinging in the vulval area, and no clitoral pain or sensitivity ... which ...

Re: Did labral tear surgery reduce your PN/pelvic/perineal p

Hi all! I am scheduled for hip surgery to repair my labral tear on the 30th of October. Very nervous, but I guess that's all pretty normal! Argh! ... I don't like the sound of that "perineal post" Lernica! I have vulval stinging and burning, anal pain, clitoral pain and sensitivity and inc...

Re: Did labral tear surgery reduce your PN/pelvic/perineal p

Hi Beverly, Just curious ... I've heard that some people with bi-lateral labral tears have surgery on both hips at the same time. I take it that you've just had the one done at this stage? I have only had the MR Arthrogram on one hip (confirmed labral tear), but have been told that that I almost cer...

Re: Did labral tear surgery reduce your PN/pelvic/perineal p

Hi all, I too have a Labral tear (in my right hip). My surgeon says that I most likey have one on the other side as well but that has yet to be imaged/diagnosed. I see my surgeon in a few days to discuss the results of the MR Arthrogram (with diagnostic anesthetic block) and probable surgery. The in...

Re: Vaginal Neurontin

Hey Ginger,

I used topical neurontin (gabapentin) on the vulval skin for a period of about 3 months. I too have been diagnosed with Vulvodynia, but myself, suspect PN and am in the process of seeking a proper diagnosis. Unfortunately I found the cream to be of no use whatsoever.

Re: Prof Vancaillie

Hey guys, Kia Kaha - That's good news for you on the MRI! Good luck for tomorrow, I'm really interested to see how it goes. No, I'm not in Christchurch, I'm in Auckland. I foresee a trip to Christchurch for me in the very near future though. I'm going to give Oxford Clinic a call first thing tomorro...

Re: Prof Vancaillie

Hi all! I'm new to the forum ... I've been lurking around a while but this is my first post. Thought I'd better chime in here as I have spoken to Theirry Vancaillie's office three times in the past couple of weeks, the last time being only yesterday. Sadly, in all three instances I have been told th...
