Re: Squatty potty as constipation prevention/cure?
I got this and was not impressed. If anything it caused more tension on my poor pudendal nerve.
Good luck.

Re: Pharmaceutical R&D on neuropathic pain
The insurance company has a whole list of treatments that one must have failed before they qualify (ie failed 2 courses of antidepressants, being treated by psychiatrist, other things). Re: Pharmaceutical R&D on neuropathic pain
I was quoted a price of $13,000 for initial treatment with annual boosters required in the $3-4,000 range. THis is before insurance. As of now many insurance with cover this treatment for depression but not chronic pain.

After reading your story, I decided I am going to arrange a consult with Dr Shernin Towfigh. She is a hernia specialist who I read about and she is right in my area at Cedars Siani here is Los Angeles.
Please keep us posted on your surgical consult!

Emily-
I live in the LA area. My understanding is this group works more with IC / prolapse patients. But Dr Hall is very respected and in my opinion it wouldn't hurt to have a consult with them. I am re-considering the same after seeing your post.

Re: About PN forums, please remind everyone......

I am one of those patients who are afraid of surgery because of all the negative outcomes I read/hear about. My doctor also believes that the surgical risks are far too great to risk the surgery. Thank...
