Re: Possible PN and hoping for help!

Hi Rea! Yes, the frontal approach is for a perineal entrapment. There is no cutting into the butt cheek (not to my knowledge anyhow.) The healing time is also quicker. It will not help an entrapment that is caused from ligaments. I do not remember Hibner looking at my MRI. Patricia did not think I n...

Re: I HAVE A DIAGNOSIS ! INGUINAL HERNIA

Hi Don, thanks for additional information. The tech never had me stand but did do the "valsalva maneuver" and had me sit up and bear down. Nothing showed up though. Did you have a CT and ultrasound or just ultrasound? I really do hope once you have your hernia surgery you will feel much be...

Re: I HAVE A DIAGNOSIS ! INGUINAL HERNIA

I had an ultrasound this week to check for an inguinal hernia. Nothing was found. UGH! I was told MRI is not good in detecting hernia, ultrasound not the greatest (glad it found yours Don!) CT scan is better at finding them. I chose not to have the CT as that is a whole lot of radiation and I had a ...

Re: Erythromelalgia

My feet hurt and tingle when too hot. If I wear tennis shoes on a hot day, I want to tear them off! How did you get a diagnosis for this? I have had several doctors mention the color of my hands they are just perplexed.

Re: new sacral/rectal pain with stim & after removal

Do you think the stimulator caused the inflammation to the nerve or do you think it was already there from PN? I could see where the body would not like having an implanted device and causing an inflammatory response. I could also see PN being inflammatory in nature. I am so sorry you are having eve...

Re: need pain control -

I feel for you. I am in your boat, I have seen a ton of doctors and no one is in a hurry to help. I have other health problems in addition to PN. Trying to get help has been awful and painfully slow. I found an article about a PN treatment from some NY pain doctors. Maybe one of them could help you ...

Re: Erythromelalgia

I have wondered about this condition. My hands/knuckles and somewhat feet turn red a lot, and have for years. They really do when its warmer. I do not have the pain though, but have other symptoms in general. Well I say I have no pain, my feet do cause me issues. I certainly have PN pain. What are y...

Re: Nerve Albation

I was offered this by my pain management doctor. I think I have too many issues with my PN/health, to try this. The PM get rid of the pain causing small fibers I believe. Therefore, your pudendal nerve should continue to work as it did, you just lose the small pain fibers. I have not had this done. ...
