Re: Increasing pain
I am sorry things are so difficult right now Shana. I sometimes feel I have so much wrong, will the doctors ever be able to help. I can't let that stop me though, and know people do get better! You are young, and that means your body is in even better shape to heal! :) You are a very brave woman to ...

Re: Surgery with Dr Azsmann
Thanks again Earl! I agree, having others to dicuss these very personal but painful issues is so helpful. I have learned a ton on this board! I agonize with you about having to decide on surgery. I am getting very close to having to do that, quite scary for me. If you are near to where Dr. Yang work...

Re: Possible PN and hoping for help!
Helen, just realized I never wrote back....sorry! Yes, PN doctors are heros...they take a rare and horribly painful issue that can take so much time to treat and still keep helping! Thank goodness! I had perineal nerve blocks (steroids I believe as well) and botox this week with Dr. Hibner. I was ni...

Re: flying for surgery
Violet, from my understanding of what Dr. Possover said, he can deal with the sacral roots and pudendal nerve. He just does not touch the micro branches, as to not cause any trauma to them, at least I think that is what he said. I would need to clarify again if I chose him for surgery. I somehow hav...

Re: Surgery with Dr Azsmann
Rea, the turn around from consult to injections with Hibner was three weeks for me. Not sure if thats the norm or they had a cancellation? I go very soon for the combo - blocks, botox, vein embolization. I am very nervous! Enjoy the lake, you deserve it! So sorry about your breakup. :( I hope you wi...

Re: Valentine's Day
Karyn, sadly I do eat smarties, but never in ice cream! heehee! :) I have a major sweet tooth! Helen, I think the food in the UK is of MUCH better quality than in the US. I actually am excited when I can find/buy food from Europe. It is healthier!!! Almost everything here is full of hydrogenated oil...

Re: Valentine's Day
Helen, I might take a dozen eggs! Useful they are, flowers die too quick! At first I was like a smarties McFlurry....ick! Then I realized smarties in Europe are not at all like the US version of the candy. We have similar here, M&M Mcflurry....yum! :) Her majesty, for me romance and PN......not ...

Re: Question about type of steroid used
For me I deal with lots of inflammation. The steroid stopped some serious spasming for me. I am glad I have a steroid block coming up soon, I need it! This being said, my nerve seemed more irritated with a steroid block. So, there is good and bad to it I suppose.

Re: My story, and I have one big question.
Hi aspiesinger! I was told by two people (pain doctor and pelvic specialist (neither very PN aware though) to stay away from Botox. I heeded their warning, but became desperate for help. I am having extensive Botox soon and will have to live with any side effects, BUT I hope for the best! I have awf...
