Re: Just diagnosed and terrified!

Hi Kate! I understand what you are going through in many ways. It always seemed the more sex I had, the more pain that came with it. I had constant bladder spasms, bladder infections, yeast issues, and soreness/rawness with sex. I think a lot of mine was initially my bladder (pudendal nerve based th...

Re: Possible PN and hoping for help!

The Botox I had in the right obturator (two areas) did not provide relief unfortunately (done by pain doctor.) In a couple weeks I am having a combo of Botox (much more extensive,) CT guided perineal blocks and vein scleritization. I had very abnormal pelvic veins embolized in December, but it also ...

Re: pudendal neuropathy

Oral Baclofen made me want to sleep and did not help my pelvic spasms as much. Vaginal Baclofen (compounded suppositories) have helped. I have a lot of spasms and wish I would have tried this sooner. I am actually about to try a Baclofen/Valium mix suppository. I hope the medication provides you som...

Re: Surgery with Dr Azsmann

I guess I did not realize there was a risk of incontinence and numbness from TG surgery. Is that a risk with any PN type surgery? I am also nervous about surgery. I am having a combo of botox, blocks and further vein treatment in a few weeks. Individually, this approach has not worked. Surgery is ce...

Valentine's Day

This is my first Valentine's with PN. I had symptoms before, but not to where they totally changed life. Certain "things" are not possible, dinner out/movie is a no due to sitting, etc. I feel bad as I don't know what to get for my hubby. It's been a hard year for us both and I wish I coul...

Re: New...scared and need advice please!

First of all congratulations on your graduation from school! That is a wonderful accomplishment. :) It is heartbreaking that you have to go through PN right out of college. I really am sorry you are dealing with this. You mentioned having tight muscles. I have been using Baclofen and it helps with m...

Re: Possible PN and hoping for help!

I had botox done unilaterally. If it helps, I will have the other side done (obturator internus muscle.) How long does botox typically take to "kick in" and stop spasms? I am still dependent on vaginal baclofen for help with spasms and hope the botox will take over soon. I am next going to...

Re: Botox/Dr. Gajraj

Thanks Violet! I will be seeing Dr. Gajraj very soon about the possibility of Botox. I am concerned about incontinence, otherwise I think it's a good option for me. I think the vaginal Baclofen has helped me with spasms, but not a fix. I may need surgery and spasm medication.

Re: freezing the pudendal nerve

Good for you taking up painting! That does sounds relaxing. I agree with your son, have hope (what else can we have but hope, right!) No deep freeze here, in fact I am thinking Spring arrived early in my area. I love true winter weather, makes me happy. I am sure a deep freeze is not as great though...

Re: freezing the pudendal nerve

Hi Ellie....I wonder if the doctor meant he would freeze the small fiber pain nerves, not the pudendal nerve. My pain doctor mentioned something about (phenol maybe?) that would make small pain fibers stop causing pain, but would not affect motor/sensation of the pudendal nerve. Perhaps that is it? ...
