Re: Post Surgery update.
Helen, so sorry, I forgot to answer your question regarding Insurance. Yes, I had it done via my Insurance, but it was a close-run thing as I retired at the end of April and my Insurance ended, (another reason for pushing like mad, and Prof. C. was very understanding in that regard). I have spoken t...

Re: Post Surgery update.
Firstly, thankyou for the warm wishes, I do appreciate them. I understand of course that there will be a number of questions raised as a result of my post and I will try to answer as many as possible given my limited knowledge of medical terms. As far as Professor Thomas Carlstedt is concerned, I se...

Post Surgery update.
Hi all, haven't posted up for a while, let me explain my reasons. I have recently had decompression surgery in London, carried out by Professor Carlstedt, but I wanted to wait until I felt well enough before posting. I can actually claim to have beaten NervyJoe as far as the time from initial sympto...

Re: Gp Problem
Just looked at my last letter from Prof. Carlstedt, and he is referred to as a 'Consultant Nerve and Hand Surgeon' rather than Orthopaedic.

Re: Gp Problem
Sorry, Gentle Artist, having read your post again, I see it is Dr. Greenslade that you want to be referred to, maybe a private phone conversation with him would be a first step, instead of Professor Carlstedt, although I can't speak too highly of Prof. C.
Good luck, persevere.

Re: Gp Problem
Hello Gentle Artist, I hope I can be of help to you. As previously mentioned by Helen I did pay privately to see Professor Carlstedt, that was back in November 2010 and he told me that surgery was out of the question until I had been properly assessed, and so I was referred to Dr. Baranowski, again ...

Re: Newbie from UK
Hi all, and thanks JennyP for posting. Kath (off this site) directed me to your post as I am due to have the Pulsed Radiofrequency Lesioning on Tuesday 22nd February with Dr. Baranowski. I have had two lots of Nerve Blocks (bilateral) but with no discernable pain relief, and so this suggestion for P...

Re: Obstetrician for pudendal nerve block?
Would this be unguided though, surely not? I wouldn't consider it for a moment unless guided by whatever method.
Best wishes to you with whatever route you choose.
