Re: types of pain relief after surgery
Hi Andrea, We do have post op pain pumps in the UK, they are very commonly used, sometimes sited as an epidural and sometimes as an iv infusion. This is almost certainly what they were talking about in your case. You are right in that we do not have permanent indwelling pumps as somenone in USA has ...

Re: Strong possibility of pn issues, love some feedback
Hi Donna, If it were me Iwould definitely not have a colonoscopy. When my pn was triggered by an uninformed gynaecologist Iwas subject to both minor and major unnecessary surgery. Like you it made it worse. I think Prof Robert the international pn specialist has written that surgery can make it wors...

Hi Kathy, Sclerosing is when a chemical (oily phenol) is what is used in the UK, is injected into the blood blister, for want of a better word with the effect of shrivelling it up. I have knowledge of it been done to haemorroids and oesophageal varices, but not in this area. Hope this is helpful Reg...

Re: Posterior Femoral Cutaneous Nerve operation
Hi Helen,
I do believe Prof. Robert in Nantes does this surgery. There was a case on the UK forum some years ago about a lady who had impingement of this nerve following a hip replacement. From what Iremember she had a good outcome . I know this is a very long way from you.

Hi painfulman, I am seeing Dr Greenslade in a couple of weeks so if you don,t ger an answer by then Ishall ask him. Yes Iagree that it is outrageous that this condition is not properly recognised in the twenty first century. Whilst I would never wish this ghastly condition on anybody, perhaps if som...

Hi Shawn, I have had pulsed radio frequency abulation in London, it gave me a moderate lelel of relief around25% for about two months, so not a great result but more than nerve blocks lasted. I also had surgery last May with Dr Tibet, and have made some progress. Currently working with pelvic physio...

Re: MRI to manage CPP study in London
Hi Helen,
I phoned up to find out about participating in this trail.
A very helpful lady answered but the bottom line is it is for people who have chronic pelvic pain without a diagnosis, so that knocks us out, but well done for spotting it.
Regards Molly

Re: PET-Scan
Hi Alex, My limited understanding og a pet scan is that it is a more sophisticated form of mri. We do have a few in the UK as Ithink ultimtely they are the next generation in scanning technology. Whether or not they will be of any use fot pne Idon,t know. Dr Greenslade to my knowledge has not ordrer...
