Re: osteoarthritis

Thank you Helen Hmmm where to go next? After jumping through all the hoops and seeing urology, gynae etc, I was ready to ask my GP for a referral to Dr Greenslade but now am wondering whether to chase my back problem instead? I`ve an appointment with my GP on Tuesday and I`ll see if he can tell me m...

osteoarthritis

Hi everyone I logged in about 5 months ago and have since been going through the various hoops such as urology and gynae to reach a diagnosis. Meanwhile I was sent to a wonderful physio lady via the NHS. She diagnosed the pudendal nerve plus my sacriollic joint as being my problem and she`s emailed ...

Re: went to pt

Hi sunshine My pt found my pelvis out of line also, and the same as you, mine `hit` my pudendal nerve. She worked on it and at last, the inside pain I`d been having is gone. I`ve had pain in the anus region and painful BM`s, but believe I helped myself out by `consciously` relaxing those muscles - p...

Re: Newbie

I hope you get your referal and the urogynae therapist goes on a quick learning curve to help you Helen :) Your BM problems sound horrible, and to think you`ve been suffering for 4 plus years just doesn`t seem right ( in this day and age) My appointment to see urology is on Tuesday and I`m hoping fo...

Re: I must share this.

Hi Karyn No to your answer. I use Aloe Vera Gel that I buy from Holland and Barrett. I buy the best one I can afford that contains the most Aloe Vera. I`m not sure that I could manage without it now- it soothes a lot and helps with `some` pain after a BM. The things we talk about on here, I don`t sh...

Re: Help PLease

Hi Sunshine You mentioned PT hurting further up the thread and scaring you off. I`ve had PT from an osteopath over the years for my back and now for PN and to begin with, I`ve always found that for 2 days after (at least) that it hurts. It sometimes hurts more than the orginal symptoms you went with...

Re: Newbie

Hello everyone Good luck with your urology appt too Helen. The last time urology saw me, I was in so much pain, that I couldn`t pin point exactly where it was- and I hadn`t heard about PN then either. Now that my pain`s under control - I can draw them a diagram :D and show exactly where it hurts. Th...

Re: Confusing initials

I`m glad you asked this Judy.
Sorry, I haven`t got any initial explanations to add. But knowing all the various terms is going to be helpful in trying to fathom out what`s what!
take care

Re: Newbie

Update... hello other Newbies and Helen, Calluna and Violet. Sorry all, for not posting sooner but pregabalin and tramadol controlled my pain, and I got caught up on real life and housework :) I believe I told you that I`d found a pelvic floor therapist who wasn`t too far away? Her findings and diag...
