Re: acupuncture
I actually had to skip acupuncture this week but I'm glad to say that my pain in my right hip radiating down my leg has all but gone away. The acupuncturist treating me said it works best when the doctors don't know why something is causing you pain, as far as my hips and pudendal pain there is an a...

Pulsed radiofrequency nerve ablation dr NY area?
Are there any doctors in the NY/NJ area that do pulsed radiofrequency nerve ablation? I know there's one guy in CA, are there other people that do it in other parts of the country? I would like to try other things before I decide on surgery and I'm thinking of giving this a try/
Thanks,
Shana

Re: Study with Dr. Coleman
I don't know how toe surgery was done but Dr. Coleman does the surgery arthroscopicly so the pain post surgery was really not bad. I only took pain meds the day of surgery and the day following surgery and that was it. I'm not sure what you are refering to by a support stocking as I did not have one...

Re: Study with Dr. Coleman
Al, I hope you are doing well post surgery. Honestly I'm not sure how traction affects one in surgery. Is it bad? Can it cause further damage? What's your recovery like? My last hip surgery was a 12 week rehab meaning I was on crutches for 2 weeks following 12 weeks 2x a week of PT. In Sep I'm havin...

Re: Study with Dr. Coleman
I went for the Study Wed, no bid deal just answered a survey and had an exam. Dr. Coleman that 83% of patients who had labral hip repair and szoas release report that their pelvic symptoms either went away completely or went away 90%. He says I'm still in the running, so I'm going to hold on to that...

Re: Study with Dr. Coleman
My appointment is scheduled for 2:30. This is actually not a post-op study as I had surgery back in Jan 2011. For me its more the correlation of hip pain as it relates to pelvic pain. I've been one of his more "problematic" patients as over the last 9 months I've been getting progressively...

Re: Need pain relief
Jackie, thanks for your response. I never tried over-the-counter pain patches or ointments, any suggestions on what I should try or what I should look for? What exactly is icy/hot? I don't like ice, I never find it helps, it's just more uncomfortable than anything... I was at acupuncture today and I...

Need pain relief
I can't take any prescription pain medications. I've tried over a dozen and I react badly to all. Its not only pain meds I can't handle I am very limited in any kind of medication that enters my body whether orally or through IV or injection as I seem to react to 90% of them. Anyways I am in so much...

Re: acupuncture
So I started acupuncture a few weeks ago with a Korean man though he was trained in the US. tomorrow will be my 5th visit but as of now I haven't seen any change. I'm wondering if its worth continuing or maybe I need an authentic orientation man. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Americans ...

acupuncture
I decided to see an acupuncturist to help with pain. Since I'm extremely sensitive to pain meds and can't find one I can tolerate and no other treatment has been of help I decided to go the noninvasive route. I was wondering if anyone else tried acupuncture and if it helped? I've done acupuncture fo...
