Re: need pain control -

Faith, I wish I knew the answer to your questions I'm wondering the same myself. I saw Dr. Coleman today he says its very possible that the repaired labrum looks to b torn even though it was repaired and its really fine or its scar tissue that looks like a torn labrum he doesn't know for sure. He's ...

Re: Anti-Inflammatory Diet (Gluten Free Diet)

I've tried such a diet in the past saw no change. My friend on the other hand has been on such a diet for abt 6 months (she doesn't have PN but other pelvic issues, endometriosis, IC etc.) she does eat spelt but no other grain and no sugar. There r also certain vegi she doesn't eat and I'm sure ther...

Re: need pain control -

Kathy I only went to dr chapman bec dr Conway says he's the only person he trusts on the NY area to do the blocks. But u r right. The first appointment he was super nice. Re: need pain control -

I've been treating with Dr. Kenneth Chapman at Spine and Pain Institute in Manhattan and Staten Island. So far I'm very happy with him. I know Dr. Coway only likes him in the New York area.
Good luck!

Re: Pt- has anyone gotten worse, or new symptoms afterward

Hi Kara, I know you posted a while ago but I just came across it now. Back in 2008 when I started PT I was only going for vaginal pain (at that point that was the only location of my pain) which was only on contact. The therapist would stretch me besides the internal work she did. While seeing her i...

Re: Vicodin and crying, depression

I'm sorry for what you're going through. I can relate all to well. After I had a vestibulectomy in 2009 that caused more damage then good, which is what I believe caused my PN, I developed Major Depression, whether it was related to the pain meds I was on or because of the chronic pain, nothing help...

Re: Pain near clitoris (and elsewhere)- Clitorodynia?

I'm in the middle of reading this great book called Healing Painful Sex by Dr. Deborah Coady and Nancy Fish. It's very informative, but quite depressing at the same time as I realize that I have more symptoms to PN than I thought. She talks about all causes of sexual pain, not just PN and included i...

Nerve Albation

I was thinking of maybe doing nerve ablation as an alternative.
Have people tried it?
Was it a help?
Are there any physicians that do it in the NY/NY/PA area?

Thanks

Re: Dr. Echenberg, Bethlaham, PA

Bobby thank you...been there done that. Just read your post and I've done years and years of pelvic floor therapy I know hiw to relax my pelvic floor and everything else. I'm happy you found something that works for you but its not the same for me. My symptoms did not improve with PT nor did it wors...

Re: Dr. Echenberg, Bethlaham, PA

Jen thanx for your response. What does Dr. Echenberg do different than other PT and nerve blocks as Ive done both. I really have no interest in doing more PT as I've been there done that and had enough it does not help me at all and see no point as going through that any more. I have a relatively lo...
