Re: 2 Nerve Blocks and Pulsed Radio Frequency Neuromodulatio

Yes I was probably worse to start with as I couldn't even walk or sit at all at one stage.... Maybe you just need to give it a bit longer for the flare up to die down. Perhaps consider duloxetine for pain and the anxiety until your flare up is under control? If you are in London anyway you wouldn't ...

Re: 2 Nerve Blocks and Pulsed Radio Frequency Neuromodulatio

Hi there I think we spoke before when we were in the same position having both had the 2 nerve blocks under dr B. I also had bad flare ups after these and was worse than I was before by quite a lot. I was also told to have the prf if necessary but to try Physio first. I have done that and have had h...

Re: internal physio

Mine is the EZ wand. Ruth Jones taught my husband how to use it which is much easier than doing it yourself. To start off I used it every day and now a couple of times a week.

Re: Need a PN aware Physio

I assume it's the same thing yes I do internal Physio with it and if I have a flare up I do the wand and the next day is much better. Also I do about an hour of stretches a day and try to walk quickly for around 30mins. This is my routine now and it's tiring but at least I am heading in the right di...

Re: Need a PN aware Physio

I can't believe the way you have been treated Poppy by the team at Bristol I'm so glad I didn't rush in to surgery with them. I really wanted to go there but no one ever returned my calls. I am sure that with the correct treatment you will slowly but surely recover. Who are you seeing on the nhs? I ...

Re: Need a PN aware Physio

Hi All! I'm so glad that my post has helped some of you to potentially get some help. Even just hearing some positive outcomes I think is helpful. I was beginning to feel like there was no help for me and seeing Ruth I am now JUST starting to believe that I can get better. I would say that I feel 30...

Re: Need a PN aware Physio

Oh no I'm so sorry hun. Who did you have surgery with? I'm so angry on your behalf that doctors would treat you that way. The first time I saw Ruth I was suffering a huge flare up after having a nerve block and I started improving almost straight away. Ruth has told me that she has treated many peop...

Re: Need a PN aware Physio

Yes I would say that the PT needs to work externally as well as internally giving you exercises to improve flexibility so the nerve can slide as it helps it recover. I am going privately too she charges £130 a session which is an hour long. If you don't know about this Physio you are seeing why not ...

Re: Need a PN aware Physio

Last thing! I posted this because I wanted people to consider PT as it can work so please don't think that surgery is your only option. Many of you may be like me and not have true entrapment even though you fit all the criteria so don't give up hope!!
