I actually find that squatting in a sumo type position seems to stretch the pudendal area and helps a bit... I don't get many problems from bending or twisting at the waist either. The other stuff I would probably agree with though

Yes I was probably worse to start with as I couldn't even walk or sit at all at one stage.... Maybe you just need to give it a bit longer for the flare up to die down.
