Re: What's next after Nerve Blocks?

I feel much better in myself now and am steadily increasing what I do and using the psychological tools I have learned to get round the symptoms. Searching, Could you elaborate on that? Basically I try to use CBT techniques and meditation etc to keep my mind in check. I'm not saying that I don't ha...

Re: PRF

Pulsed radiofrequency neuromodulation immediately made me worse, I mean literally as I stepped out of the hospital. The pain was bad for 2 months afterwards before it started to subside and after that other symptoms started to reccur. A total disaster as far as I'm concerned....

Re: What's next after Nerve Blocks?

My experience is similar to yours. Fitness was my life, I did a lot of running and even more cycling with clubs and on my own. I seemed to spend most of my life on a bike! However in mid 2013 I started to suffer from ED and numbness following club rides. Later I started to get the same problem simpl...

Re: Brand new. My story. Feedback greatly appreciated!

Probably a bit late here but this sounds very similar to my own symptoms... It all started with me feeling very sexually aroused and sensitive around my penis but later this turned to dysfunction and not complete numbness but a loss of sensation.... For a while it turned to erectile dysfunction but ...

Re: Side effects from Nerve Block

I also had tingling down my legs, particularly my left leg, down into the foot and toes. Interestingly I also had tingling down my arms. This was at the end of last year but once I had the 1st nerve block it seemed to clear up, however about a month or 2 ago it came back - after 6 months. Now it com...

Re: Activities To Avoid

I actually find that squatting in a sumo type position seems to stretch the pudendal area and helps a bit... I don't get many problems from bending or twisting at the waist either. The other stuff I would probably agree with though

Physical Therapy?

Hi all, I'm back again... After 2 nerve blocks and pulsed radiofrequency neuromodulation things for me are worse than ever I'm afraid. This time last year my primary symptoms were erectile dysfunction after cycling and sometimes after I did a long run or rower, cross trainer at the gym. Wind things ...

Re: 2 Nerve Blocks and Pulsed Radio Frequency Neuromodulatio

Searching, if you have access to another physiotherapist who treats PN, maybe you want to get a 2nd opinion about strengthening exercises. For me, more exercise was the exact opposite of what I needed because exercise was what caused my PN but each person with PN is different. Violet The exercises ...

Re: 2 Nerve Blocks and Pulsed Radio Frequency Neuromodulatio

Your physio sounds very reassuring.... Hope your improvements continue, I think it's partly mental, once you see yourself improving you get into a better frame of mind and things improve ever more quickly...

Re: 2 Nerve Blocks and Pulsed Radio Frequency Neuromodulatio

Yes I was probably worse to start with as I couldn't even walk or sit at all at one stage.... Maybe you just need to give it a bit longer for the flare up to die down. Perhaps consider duloxetine for pain and the anxiety until your flare up is under control? If you are in London anyway you wouldn't...
