Re: Possible new sufferer looking for some help please

I've been dealing with SIJ issues and impact periformis syndrome for years now. It takes a real lifestyle change and a strong commitment to persist with all the stretching etc. if like me you get better and forget about it all for a while I guarantee it will come back to haunt you. So my advice is p...

Re: Are there only a few people with PGAD?

I should think there are many people of both sexes who have PGAD either on its own or a mixture of that and PN/PNE. But they choose to discuss it in a closed forum because some unscrupulous people may take advantage of their condition.

Re: New and Confused

Hi Lenore, Yes it sounds like your PN is irritated as that is definitely the nerve that connects to your clitoris and other bits. But moving on to your hip and one leg shorter than the other. That is a classic symptom of SIJ (sacral Illiac joint) alignment problems. Have any Oesteopaths told you thi...

Re: Possible new sufferer looking for some help please

Well my muscle spasm is easing and the burning PN appears to be easing a fraction some of the time! So fingers crossed.

I'm also exploring a link between the use of PPIs and this PN/muscle spasm.

Re: Painful Female Orgasms=Isolation HELP!

It sounds very PN related. As a mere man I get the intense burn after orgasm too, so I understand a little of what you feel. But the question with this is which came first? Has the muscle irritated the nerve or has the nerve irritated the muscles? You may never know the true cause but hopefully you ...

Re: Male suffering with PNE/PN for 3 years now

Hi Joe, I can't advise on MRN or whether the cost justifies it. My gut feeling is that it would be a waste of money. But I say that with tongue in cheek as I could be wrong. So I will bow to an expert. At the mo your current symptoms sound very like mine. So would I let some doc give me a nerve bloc...

Re: Possible new sufferer looking for some help please

Well I'm still continuing with my plan and I'm no worse and may even be a little better? I've had a couple less night sweats and sleeping much better. I'm working at lots of deep breathing, long stretches and lots of walking plus my usual exercise program. Still no meds but I may occasionally use an...

Re: Possible new sufferer looking for some help please

Just a quick update. I'm continuing with yoga, running, general exercise and stretching. Acupuncture is helping the muscle spasm. Not convinced that Gabapentin is making any difference at the dose I'm taking. Not increasing it as it gives me headaches. But may stop it over Christmas and see what hap...

Re: Strange pinching sensation

Hi,
It sounds like you have found a trigger point for your Prudendal nerve. I would advise you stop irritating it. Have you seen a Pelvis Floor Therapist yet?
