Re: Did labral tear surgery reduce your PN/pelvic/perineal p

Yes, I don't want any other injections or meds, this is bad enough. I got the muscles calmed down a few days there, felt a bit better, then was up doing things finally, and it flared right back up, glutes hard as rocks. Just agonizing pain to the pubic bone and if I press anywhere where it hurts in ...

Re: Did labral tear surgery reduce your PN/pelvic/perineal p

I got the injections Oct. 22, but had several others in Sept. My system got so overloaded I ended up in the ER 4 times for vertigo, dizziness and the severe amount of swelling and bruising to the genitals from the shots. And thrush and other infections from my immune system being blasted. I don't re...

Re: Did labral tear surgery reduce your PN/pelvic/perineal p

Just an update and question: I had surgery for this 7 mos. ago, but got terrible post op pt, keeping the pelvis more in play and the core less so (still very weak there). It was fine in terms of pelvic pain though, up to a certain point where the pulling at the pubic bone was too intense. I ended up...

Re: Did labral tear surgery reduce your PN/pelvic/perineal p

Beverley, please do post later! I think we're all in the same trap. Gynos don't mess with hips or spine, there really ARE no muscle docs, PTs know the most about muscles (aside from a few specialized surgeons) but have no ability to order images, etc. It's a vicious cycle. My current PTs agree, and ...

Re: Did labral tear surgery reduce your PN/pelvic/perineal p

Beverley, ^5!! I know I posted this in an out of the way spot, but did you see Dr. Drew's comments (or hear) on women with pelvic pain? (http://www.pudendalhope.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=5896) ARGH!!! I don't wish pelvic pain on anyone, but the reaction to having it is going to be a strong...

The Dr. Drew Insulting Women w/ Pelvic Pain Debacle

This is truly horrible! If I'm posting in the wrong place, as I've tended to do since surgery, please let me know (or move, if you're an admin.) For those here who are more activist oriented, or if this just makes you really want to speak your mind about the utter ignorance of this man, Drew Pinsky,...

Re: Did labral tear surgery reduce your PN/pelvic/perineal p

Thanks, Jax. You were a year and a half? Some of this is based on the length of time I've seen people here suffer, some from where I had surgery. I called the admin. of my 1st pelvic floor PT today, because I am starting small (and she is really nice--the admin, not the PT, ugh), and just informed h...

Re: Did labral tear surgery reduce your PN/pelvic/perineal p

velmartd--my first MRI was read as being a cyst in the hip socket, and was considered an incidental finding. Are they sure it is a cyst? I was about to start a non profit for other reasons, but I am a bit more interested in this now. I just did 3 weeks of PT at a place where collegiate and professio...

Re: Did labral tear surgery reduce your PN/pelvic/perineal p

Ahh, I see. I'm planning on going as slow as I can, but I did have to fly back home. I'm trying to set up PT here, and might call Coleman for a list of definite DON'Ts. I'm also very athletic, but am in no shape to go back to what I was doing, not yet walking either, and was a bit surprised at how l...

Re: Did labral tear surgery reduce your PN/pelvic/perineal p

Kathy--what was the surgery you're talking about that ended you up with the anal pain?!?

Did Coleman do the surgery? Sorry, just trying to put together the story you have here! Feel free to just message me;)
