Re: Pain meds
Thanks for replying April. I've not seen anyone else but the consultant I saw who did prolapse op but he has been to Nantes and trained to do decompression surgery. He thinks I have Pudendal nerve irritation rather than entrapment as I don't have relief on toilet seat and my rectal pain is actually ...

Pain meds
Childbirth has caused pain that's never disappeared. Foreign body feeling and aching rectum and a prolapse op to hopefully ease pain has now caused back pain due to Central Sensitisation. That's the opinion of surgeon and pain Dr. I've been on pregablin for 3 years now and have reduced it from 600mg...

Lidocaine infusion
I had a Lidocaine infusion 2 days ago. It's done nothing for my pain which is rectal, vaginal and has spread to my sacrum and tailbone. I'm hoping it'll kick in at some point but I actually feel worse. Please can anyone advise on whether they had an improvement from this particularly if it came some...

Allodynia
Since childbirth 3 years ago, I've allodynia rectally and vaginally. Rectally it feels heavy and makes me aware of my rectum 24/7. Medication has helped to some degree but not by much. Anatomical problems have been fixed (prolapse) only to worsen my sensitivity. So I fear this is it, this is me now ...

Kathi
I do wonder if you have an internal rectal prolapse( Intussecuption ) it can cause golf ball feeling and incomplete emptying. You would need tests done to confirm. A pt wouldn't be able to diagnose this. You would need a defecating X-ray. This could be the problem I think.

Re: HElp me please.
Hi Kathy I've read your posts on bowel movements and the urges you get. I have similar symptoms and for me the constant sensation of needing to go or having mild urges but not enough to even attempt, is because I'm not fully emptying. This is because I have a small rectocele and rectal intussecuptio...

Re: safest laxative?
Hi I am only putting this out there as a suggestion because I have similar symptoms regarding urges to go, feeling of heaviness/pressure in my rectum (which feels as if I have a weight inside there) and I've been diagnosed with having an internal rectal prolapse (no tissue leaves the anus). I saw a ...

lyrica advice
I am on lyrica 200mg so far but it has done nothing for my pain. My Gp has advised me to go up to 300mg in total but I'm beginning to wonder if there is any point. It has caused me to have low blood pressure so I feel dizzy upon standing but I can deal with that as long as I see the benefits of taki...

follow up consultation
I saw the Colo rectal consultant last week to discuss my on going symptoms following childbirth 10 months ago. I have rectal heaviness and vagina and rectal pains. My new pain in my bottom is an ache. It comes and goes through out the day and is annoying, dull and sometimes like frostbite but luckil...
