Re: Surgery and Re-entrapment

Stephanie, But you then saw Dr. Filler that diagnosed you with PNE and was more than willing to offer you surgery. Then Dr. Campbell thought Filler did not decompress fully the nerve and you had an extra surgery (based on what you posted on this forum). It illustrates my point. It is random and unse...

Re: Very worried after nerve block

steviee, I am impressed. You are displaying remarkable self-awareness. You should really not stress over the ganglion impar block. You'll recover. I had 6 nerve blocks, botox, and 2 failed PNE surgeries. I recovered eventually. Just a bit of warning regarding the psychotropic medications you are pre...

Re: Surgery and Re-entrapment

Violet, do you not agree that the discrepancy between Dr. Robert and Dr. De Bisschop (an ex-associate of Dr. Bautrant) around the significance of nerve blocks is shocking? I cringe when new patients are encouraged to go consult with PN-aware physicians. Based on the highly chimerical quality of the ...

Re: Surgery and Re-entrapment

Violet, I believe that you consulted with only one PN surgeon, Dr. Bautrant. He is pretty serious from the brief correspondence I had with him. I consulted with 6 PN physicians. Seeing some of them multiple times. I got fed conflicting explanations repeatedly. Some were badmouthing their colleagues ...

Re: Staged sacral reflex, pudendal ultrasounds

You can look into it if you had trauma in your past or suffer from anxiety. If your pain started during or after a stressful event, that would be a good indication. Non-bacterial prostatitis is a mindbody syndrome. You perpetually keep the pelvic floor in contraction unconsciously. Also if prior to ...

Re: Very worried after nerve block

stevee,

I recovered via mindbody healing after 12 years of pudendal pain. It took me 2 years of 100% strict adherence to the mindbody technique to recover. It wasn't quick or easy but it is possible. Patience and perseverance are key. Pelvic pain is probably as hard to heal as fibromyalgia.

Re: Staged sacral reflex, pudendal ultrasounds

gabriel, I indeed recovered with mindbody after 12 years of pudendal pain. It took me 2 years of complete focus on the mindbody connection. I got no help from psychologists. I simply don't believe in it. Then it is not the right approach for you. You cannot heal if you are even slightly ambivalent. ...

Re: Surgery and Re-entrapment

Violet, I corresponded with many patients that had surgery with the 2 PN surgeons I selected for my surgeries. In fact we were comparing notes before and after surgery. We were all found to be severely entrapped. Not just entrapped, but severely entrapped. None of us were improved by surgery. I am n...

Re: Surgery and Re-entrapment

It is always reported to be entrapped. Look, I am still entrapped at the alcock's canal (surgeon ran out of time and suggested a third surgery) and I am pain free now. Don't assume pain means tissue damage. It is much more complicated than that. My finger is a solid block of scar tissue (My finger w...

Re: Staged sacral reflex, pudendal ultrasounds

gabriel,

I just read your first post. You had many failed nerve blocks. According to the Nantes criteria, you are not a candidate for surgery. Don't do it.
You also say that you have IBS. Do you think it is related to your pelvic pain?
