Re: PGAD - persistent genital arousal disorder

Hey guys. Just a quick update. Unfortunately my pgad has returned after being symptom free for 2 and a half years. I am hopeful though that I can control it again. My symptoms have been triggered by SSRIs but luckily I was only on them for a few days so could stop them immediately. My symptoms aren’...

Re: PGAD - persistent genital arousal disorder

Hello all. Just a quick update from me. I have found that exercise and the correct diet have helped me loads. Today is an off day. My symptoms come back for like half an hour at a time. It's strange but least not there all the time. Had an ultrasound on my pelvis and they found that I had more blood...

Re: PGAD - persistent genital arousal disorder

Yes it is wonderful news. A sign that my body knows what to do to get better :) it's back with a vengeance though :( not so good. My own fault really. I managed to get better by keeping constipation at bay and by doing stretches and the techniques you sent me Laurina. I haven't been very good this w...

Re: PGAD - persistent genital arousal disorder

Hello all

I was symptom free for 4 weeks!!! It's come back slightly today not too bad but annoying me. I'm so glad for the time I was symptom free. It gives me hope.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Re: PGAD - persistent genital arousal disorder

Hello everyone. Just a quick update. I'm starting to have more good days than bad. I'm really hoping this is the start of the healing process for me. Feelings of arousal seem to be getting less and less and bowel movements are getting better so I think I've cracked my code!! Let's hope and pray for ...

Re: PGAD - persistent genital arousal disorder

Can't believe the improvement in my symptoms after trying the stretching exercises in that book. I've been almost symptom free for 2 days so I'm really hoping these stretches are making a difference. I've felt so good. Fingers crossed I've found my cure!!

Re: PGAD - persistent genital arousal disorder

Hey all.

Was just wondering if anyone has had any success with Amy Steins Heal Pelvic Pain book? I'm giving it a go to see if I can heal this awful disorder.

Re: PGAD - persistent genital arousal disorder

I'm feeling very hopeless today. It kills me that I can't have a normal relationship with my boyfriend and all specialist help is so far away from me and costs a lot. The only thing that's keeping me going is the fact the dr said that because I'm young it probably won't take that long for the nerve ...

Re: PGAD - persistent genital arousal disorder

Hello Just a quick update. Had my hormones tested and things are all well on that front. Been referred for CBT and to a dietician as the dr reckons my problem stems from ibs so we shall give that a go. I've started yoga and so far no flare ups. I've found that lying down flat on my back with a pillo...

Re: PGAD - persistent genital arousal disorder

I genuinely have no idea what's going on here! I had like 5 days with no symptoms (not doing anything differently btw) and now it's back again!! I don't know what to do. I wish this was a straight forward disorder.
