Re: Surgery with Shobeiri
I'm going to ask if Dr. Conway can contact Dr. Shobeiri either by phone or email to discuss my case. I'd also like to find out if it's possible to have a phone consult with Dr. Shobeiri before January rolls around. Hopefully, this will increase my chances of the scheduled surgery! Karyn, I think th...

Re: New- Pudendal or Vulvodynia?
A damaged, entrapped, or compressed pudendal nerve can be the cause of vulvodynia. If you are lucky, your gyn will be willing to study up on pudendal neuralgia and help to diagnose what is causing your vulvodynia. One diagnostic tool used by the PN docs is to press along the course of the pudendal ...

Re: Spouses/partners living with PN'rs
I do think it would be nice if loved ones of PN sufferers could have a forum on our list. It could be public, like ours. That way, those spouses/partners/family who need support can read the posts in that forum, just like the other forums. What's nice is that spouse/partner/family members can alway...

Re: Surgery with Shobeiri
Karyn, What great news about finally hearing backfrom Shobeiri. I also applaud Dr. Conway for agreeing to your follow up care and considering that he has knowledge of PNE, I would say that it'd be probably in your best interest to not have to stay the extra three weeks or whatever in OK and instead ...

Why can't there just be a male birth control pill? I'm sick of us having to deal with everything!!!

Miralax
Hi friends, I can't bear having a hard bowel movement. I have been on stool softeners such as Colace forever but it's just not enough. The lack of physical activity is catching up w/ my digestive system. Has anyone tried Miralax and how does it work? A lot of people have suggested Milk of Magnesia b...

Re: Elavil
How could anyone have sex with PN, lol? I hope some can! I've heard that Pamelor (Nortriptyline) can sometimes work better than Elavil (Amitriptyline). I finally went to a pain doctor and he suggested I switch. Funny thing is, he didn't give me any reasons as to WHY I should switch. I asked him &quo...

Re: Surgery after 8 years
That's a tough call. If a 3T MRI or MRN could diagnose an entrapment for sure, I would run away from Botox. I think my post Botox experience was actually much more severe than my current recovery from surgery. It was truly horrible for 3 months and then it slowly vanished. Is Botox part of Dr.Hibne...

Re: Surgery after 8 years
I recently had Botox done intra-vaginally by Dr. Michael Hibner in Phoenix. While I was initially sore and flared for about 10 days, the flares subsided and now I am back at baseline. I was checked by his PT and she said the muscles did relax (left side injections only) but I still had the pudendal ...
