Re: Where are the post-ops?
Hi all, Thanks for thinking of me. It's been a rough road. However, I feel that I am ( was, whatever) entrapped in the most difficult spot to address: the distal Alcock's canal and the perineal branches. Dr. Hibner found entrapment at the proximal (posterior) end of the Alcock's canal during my TG s...

Re: Where are the post-ops?
After having to stop Lyrica due to extreme side effects, I am doing much worse. Sorry to report bad news.
When my distal alcocks and/or perineal branches are sufficiently addressed, I'm sure I will be much better. Until then, my plan is to stay alive.

Re: CRPS better post op
I would have to just add my two cents: Dr. Hibner IS VERY PROACTIVE with helping us with ALL aspects of this disease, including CRPS/RSD. Next time I go to Phoenix, I will be all better and take him and his anesthesiologist, Dr. Peterman, out to dinner. Oh, and I will SIT cause I'll be ALL BETTER! :...

Re: "Passages In Caregiving" by Gail Sheehy
NYT, This book sounds great. I am thinking of getting it now for two reasons: one, for myself and my spouse due to my chronic pain, and two, for my mother, who is so stressed taking care of her aging and terminally ill parents who are now in skilled living. Thank you for bringing this book to our at...

Re: Bladder Problems And PNE
Yes Joddy, all of these bladder symptoms sound completely normal for someone with either PN/PNE or PFD. My bladder symptoms got much better after my decompression surgery, but when I am very flared up, they do return and I know it is because the nerve is firing those pelvic floor muscles into a tizz...

Re: Vision problems with lyrica
Dear Callulana I truly hope you can continue the Lyrica. I had significant pain relief on the Lyrica at 300 mg, but my side effects were so horrible that I had to stop and go back to 150mg, which I honestly do not think does a dent in my pain, but I guess I am too afraid right now to go off it. I ha...
