Re: Frequency Specific Microcurrent

I have an FSM machine. It really does help with my nerve pain. Unfortunately the easing of the pain doesn't seem to stick around for me. I have to continue to run the machine to get relief.

It's great while it's on, though!

Ain't cheap. We paid over 2 grand for ours. :(

Thank you, Lernica. I was not aware of Cora's situation.

I will contact her.

Opioid-Induced Hyperalgesia

I had my pain doctor tell me yesterday that every 1 1/2 to 2 years a person who is taking round-the-clock opioids should go off of them completely for at least 3 months, in order to reset the person's system. This is in response to opioid-induced hyperalgesia.  http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opioid-...

Re: Re-do surgery : Questions

Thanks!!  Yeah, I'm not sure if that is what I was asking--if they did ligament repair--but it's good to know the answer!! Thanks Karyn!  I am aware of Vicki sims and I have written her an email.  SIJD treatments I have tried: PT with two pelvic specialists  Prolotherapy - 3 sessions Intensive chiro...

Re-do surgery : Questions

I am trying to determine if my SIJD is so bad that I will need surgery for it. Then there is the question of who to go to for the surgery. Do you know if Dr. Hibner does reconstruction of the missing ligaments for TG surgery re-do patients?  If so, is there any way to fast track oneself into Hibner'...

SI fixation / fusion surgery

Has anyone with PN had SI joint fusion or fixation surgery? If so, what were the results? I have already had pudendal nerve release surgery and 8 years later have developed a horrific case of SI joint dysfunction. It is so bad I am bedridden with it.  I don't know what to do.  I believe that the ins...

Re: SI joint laxity

I have already had pudendal nerve release surgery and 8 heads later have developed a horrific case of SI joint dysfunction. It is so bad I am bedridden with it.  Don't know what to do.  I believe that the instability may be bad enough that it cannot be conservatively corrected.  Should I consider SI...

Re: My poor beloved Dottie

Thank you to everyone that posted such kind words to me on this. I still breakdown in wails of grief when I think about it, which I don't do unless there is no one in the house.

Pain pump I.e. intrathecal drug pump for PN?

Has anyone here tried a drug pump?

I am correctly looking into it...

I'm interested in finding out:
1) did it help you
2) if so, how much
3) where did they out your drug catheter?

Re: My poor beloved Dottie

Thanks for your kindness. Its too late, tho. Once you sign the papers its done deal. You cannot get a dog back. Dottie essenti ally had a nervous breakdown. She felt the horrible anxiety in the house and suffered because I wasn't there for her. It could have beeen health-related. I don't know. But s...
