Potter MRI with metal hip?
I keep reading about this Potter MRI and wonder if they can do one with a metal hip replacement present. For me to get a hip MRI they have to change the settings so it becomes a Mars MRI. Anybody know?

Re: PFCN treatment
Thanks for the info spider.....have you visited Dr Conway or just talked on phone? For me its quite a distance to NH. But if he treats men then I will probably talk to him at some point. It good to know you seem pleased so far talking to him. Are you going to do the surgery? I would like to get fixe...

Re: New member, no doctors in Charlotte?
Thanks for the replay April and Violet. Yes, the wife is moving ahead with leaving and its upset me which has caused my nerve to get upset. I would much rather deal with something like this healthy, not like I am now with no doctor to treat me. I went to regular PT for 6 weeks and did the excercises...

Re: Nerve block team
My pain seems to start ok in the morning, just pain level of 2-4 but it goes to 6-7 in afternoon, evening. I never know what to say when they ask me for a number. One doctor said 10 was being boiled alive in acid. So I never say 9 or 10. I cant believe how its gotten so much worse in such a short ti...

Re: PFCN treatment
Thanks for the reply Spider. So perhaps Dr Conway does help with the PCFN nerve? Let us know. I am so depressed...just spent many hours researching Dr Dellon on this forum and only found one person that he has helped with the surgery: Frankiet, who had surgery in 2015 and was cured. But the list of ...

Re: PFCN treatment
I keep trying to diagnose myself and it just seems more and more like my problem maybe be something other than pn. The only rectal pain I have is sensory, just around the anus and mild. The real pain is just in there deep in the inside corner of my butt. I cant put a finger on where it hurts....it f...

Re: Nerve block team
Thanks for your reply april. So I had a cortisone shot into the general area of the ischial tuberosity and it took away the pain for 3 or 4 days and then the pain was reduced maybe 20% for two weeks, then the pain came back with a vengence, way worse than before. So I understand getting a flare from...

Re: Nerve block team
So I got this appointment on Feb 11 to see about getting a pn nerve block. But now I am reading the nerve block can cause a flare up. Well I cant really stand another flare up right now so I am wondering if I should wait on this potential block. I will be getting the block with Dellon April 2 hopefu...

Re: New member, no doctors in Charlotte?
Unfortunately, my pain doctor runs a pill mill....I have been going there 3 years and only seen the doctor one time and it was a terrible visit. Instead you see the PA's, he has 4 of them seeing 4 patients an hours and they only have so much time and dont really diagnose conditions, they just try to...

Re: New member, no doctors in Charlotte?
Oh, I forgot to mention that I do have a special compounded cream that contains lidocaine, baclofen, gabapentin and diclofenac. I put it on the area and it helps some, not a lot. The 5% lidocaine patches work better but I can only keep them on for 12 hrs, so when the patch is off I use this cream th...
