Re: Nortriptylin and Neurontin
Hi vicki, I take Lyrica and have short term memory loss. It does help with pain though. Recently Dr. prescribed Nortriptyline in addition to Lyrica, but after one pill I stopped because it made me feel foggy and tired all day. Did the Nortriptyline cause tiredness and fog that eventually wore off af...

Re: HSVII and pain
Hi Molly Sue, I had an outbreak of herpes (on my buttock) one and a half years ago that left me with ongoing post herpatic pain. I was orignally diagnosed with herpes 25 years ago when I was pregnant with my daughter. Until now I have not had an outbreak. I have also found out through a pelvic MRI t...

Re: Just found this site
Hi Vicki, I was wondering if the nortriptyline made you feel tired and foggy when you first started taking it. If so,did the side effects get better each day. My doctors also want me to get a block, but I have been avoiding it because of the possibility of a flare and getting worse. You are encourag...

Re: Nerve Block Experiences
Has anyone had a caudal epidural block for pain? This was suggested to me as a diagnostic and/or therapeutic treatment. The pain I experience is in the rectum and could be post herpatic pain from a shingles/herpes outbreak last year. It also could be pain associated with the branch of the pudendal n...

Re: Miralax
Hi A's Mommy,
I've not had good results from Miralax..probably needed to play around with the dosage more. But what works for me most days are bran buds in the morning, a pear or peach in the evening. About once (or twice) a week I drink smooth move tea if needed.
Good luck!

Re: Elavil
Hi A's Mommy, It's funny,my doctor just prescribed me Pamelor to add to the Lyrica I already take. I tried taking one at night as prescribed (25mg). It pretty much made me a zombie the next day. I realize this needs to get into your bloodstream and may take a few days, but I stopped taking it cause ...

Re: Nerve Block Experiences
Hi Krista, Thank you for your post! The responses from everyone will help me out right now too. The pain in my rectum is pretty much under control from the high amounts of lyrica I take everyday. However, my goal is to NOT take this medication anymore, or at least decrease the amount I take each day...
