Re: Covid vaccine

Thank you all for your responses! As an update to readers, the only side effect I had from the vaccine (Pfizer) was a sore arm from the injection =) Thanks again for the advice all!

Covid vaccine

Hi all,

This might be a silly question - but anyone out there with pudendal neuralgia get the covid vaccine? If so, which one, and did you notice any worsening of symptoms?

Thanks all!

Re: Hello..new member here

Hi Janet, I really do wonder how many women suffer from this in silence after childbirth. I do think it’s uncommon but not *as* uncommon as people think. I do wish that there was more training in the potential injuries to the mother for people learning to be OBs or labor and delivery nurses, as well...

Re: Hello..new member here

Hi Janet, I am so sorry to hear what you are going through. For me, I got pudendal neuralgia from childbirth. It used to be the most excruciating pain (clitoral) upon standing. I couldn’t sit in certain positions either. Today, it’s much better than before due to the experts at the Pelvic Health and...

Re: Nerve Block or PT first?

Hi all who are reading this! Good news, the pain associated with my childbirth-created pudendal neuralgia has diminished significantly with PT (as well as time in general). At this point in time I am only feeling slight pain while urinating, and it’s not every time. I am still sitting on a cushion w...

Re: Nerve Block or PT first?

Thank you both for your suggestions! I will hold off on the nerve block for now since the pain is not 24/7. With a new baby around I don’t think I could mentally handle the pain being worse, even if temporary. As for PT, I am leaning toward light exercises as mentioned. I’ll get the doctor’s opinion...

Nerve Block or PT first?

Hello, I am 6 weeks postpartum and my OB as well as an experienced PT believes I have pudendal neuralgia. I had a vacuum assisted vaginal delivery and now I have a severe stabbing pain in my clitoris when I sit in a certain position, stand up from laying down, and pee. I also have a mild pain in my ...
