Re: PGAD - persistent genital arousal disorder
Yes, I’m on Lyrica now. I think it slightly takes the edge off but unfortunately I am still symptomatic day to day. I can consider asking to increase my dosage (taking 50 mg twice a day), but being on a higher dose achieved diminishing returns.

Re: PGAD - persistent genital arousal disorder
I had my venogram last week. I was not stented. In addition to having May-Thurner syndrome, I also have possible Nutcracker syndrome and several varices. I have to go for additional testing and then follow up with vascular. My pelvic pain management specialist is on maternity leave until January, so...

Re: PGAD - persistent genital arousal disorder
I wanted to provide an update. I had my venogram recently, and the vascular surgeon wants me to have more imaging and is considering bringing me back for stenting and embolization, which may or may not help (trying to have some hope but not get my hopes up). The results did show May-Thurner syndrome...

Re: PGAD - persistent genital arousal disorder
It’s been a few months and I wanted to check in. In March, I randomly experienced swelling in my right calf (same side my pudendal neuralgia/PGAD) occurs on, and had venous and arterial dopplers as well as an echocardiogram, which did not show any blood clots or causes of my leg swelling. I saw a va...

Re: Did labral tear surgery reduce your PN/pelvic/perineal pain?
Update: it has been over a year since my hip injections and arthroscopy and my pudendal neuralgia is as flared as ever, and despite a ton of physical therapy and work on my end, I am also less mobile to boot. I felt I HAD to know if it would help, so I don’t regret the surgery per se.

Re: PGAD - persistent genital arousal disorder
I’ve had PGAD since the start of my symptoms in 2021. I’ve had a diagnostic nerve block, arthroscopy to fix a labral tear, 3 rounds of vaginal botox (first round helped but there are diminishing returns), 2 rounds of pelvic floor PT, including one at the very start of this journey, 2 rounds of PT fo...

Re: Did labral tear surgery reduce your PN/pelvic/perineal p
Thank you all for sharing your stories although this thread is old and I doubt you will see it. I had an MR Neurogram of the pelvis today which showed « Small field of view imaging of the right hip demonstrates a nondisplaced right anterosuperior quadrant labral tear. Subtle asphericity and subtle f...

I’m so sorry; I don’t have anything specific to advise on your situation but I too am at the end of my rope with the moving electrical impulses! Do hot baths help at all?

At this time, on a heating pad and with the help of a muscle relaxer.
