Re: potential PNE

Violet is right that lower back pain is rarely attributed to PNE. It is either more a muscular condition or dysfunction of other nerves, not pudendal. On the other had, numbness of penis is a hallmark of pudendal neuropathy. In most cases, the numbness indicates more sever entrapment than pure pain ...

Re: Hi I am from Taiwan

I can also relate to those whose problems were aggravated/triggered after prolonged sex/masturbation. These were also my main triggers in the beginning. But I always completely recovered in initial 1-2 years, so I think that there is following rationale behind that: Of course that rough sex or prolo...

Re: Male Pudendal Nerve Entrapment Diary...

Andy_pablo I also think you should try some other ways before surgery. An thorough and entire PT examination etc. is essential. I am also struggling with penile/perineum pain, can imagine what you have been through... Surgery is surely a way for some minor portion of pelvic pain sufferers-those who ...

Re: ultrasound guided bilateral nerve block

Thanks, dr. Attaman, your answers are precise and clear. Highly apprecieted from my side. I am suffering with pelvic pain cca 5 years, mainly in distal pudendus area (penis, scrotum, groin, pubic area). I still dont know exactly whether this is rather general pelvic myoneuropathy or PN. Two years ag...

Re: probably got nerve damage from internal self massage :(

I would like to add some additional remarks, because my story is very similar in all dimensions, suffering cca 5 years, being in my early 40ties, having paid a lot in emotional, social as well other areas for this handicap, still not having exact diagnosis...The line between CPPS/chronic pelvic myon...

Re: probably got nerve damage from internal self massage :(

I can see some similarities between your problems and mine, I also have chronic pain in genital area, which started after prolonged sex, firstly episodically then chronic and pudendal nerve is surely included. Sensitivity seems to be still ok, no numbness issues, however during flare-ups it is somet...

Re: A message from Dr. Attaman regarding nerve blocks

good reading. basically agree. I think the most challenging cases are when the pain is clearly generated by pudendal nerve, but there is no classical entrapment. Operation might be detrimental in that case and even blocks might aggravate the situation, but generally are worth the risk I guess. Very ...
