Recognize this physician?

Post by JAT »

I've been referred to a neurologist in the Chicagoland area (by my gynecologist) who specializes in women's neurological issues, and was wondering if any of you have heard of this physician and/or have any information on her track record, et cetera. I've checked the list of physicians on this site, but her's is not listed.

Side note: I have an appointment with the physician listed below on 12/30/2011. Interestingly, when I called to make the appointment and of course indicate who recommended her, the individual who took the call asked what I was wanting to see the physician for, she (employee), and without any hesitation whatsoever immediately indictated that she (physician) does not see patient's for my pelvic/pain issues. I pressed further indicating that that is not what I was told by the referring physician plus I indicated that what she just relayed to me contradicts what is on the hospital's website. She, the receptionist then conceded but very quickly without any hesitation (felt to me that that practice just does not wany any additional new patients) stated that the physician is not taking any new patients until 12/30/2011. Perhaps the referring physician will give her a call to hopefully speed up the process. With that being said however, I don't want to see someone who isn't qualified, hence, my request for information/opinions here.

JAT,
From your signature, it looks like you have already seen a neurologist. I did not find it helpful at all, except to get her opinion about the Neurontin. Could you possibly schedule the 3T MRI in NY? I'm thinking this information would be invaluable and lead you to the next intervention. Please keep hanging in there. We all need each other!
