Accupuncture

Post by TinyDancer »

Hello All,

I just went to my first session of accupuncture last week and my pain is much better. They use electrical meridian testing to see where I needed help. It showed that my bladder and spleen was bad on the side that I have my pudendal problems. They went slowly at first and next time they will show me how to do daily accupressure.

I've gone down by 25% in pain meds and for now the doctor doesn't want me to go down anymore. Next week, I'm going on my first long distance trip since surgery. Okay, laying down in the back seat but I'll still be traveling in a car.

If you need a little help in the pain management department you should consider accupuncture preferably with an Asian practioner who uses the testing before the needles come out!

Hi Kate,
I'm so very glad the acupuncture is helping you! It's also been very effective for me, as well. But - you're going to do it yourself? Wow!!!
Best wishes with your trip!
Warm regards,
Karyn

Acupressure does not use the usual acupuncture needles, just pressure. ;)

You can press with your fingers, or you can use press needles as I do.

Yes, I do know that accupuncture and accupresure are the same thing and I think that the accupuncture is best. But where do you get the acupressure needles? I've been using a tatting crochet hook.

By the way, in your signature, you say that you use different techniques. I can't see it now, but it said two large case grouping of letters...something like CBT and something else. Is that a type of acupressure?
