Thanks again Violet.
I have to read up again on the details of the TIR procedure you decided on.
My next step is appointments with 2 different docs the second week of Sept.
The first is with an anesthesiologist who is familiar with PN issues. He is a pain specialist, but the treatment for numbness is likely to be the same( ex. guided injections).
The second is with an invasive radiologist who can evaluates/treat the dilated pelvic veins if warranted.
I need to determine whether the primary problem is vascular (venous) or PN, so these docs should be able to shed some light on that. If not possible to determine which problem is primary, perhaps treating one first, or just treating both, might be the answer.
If it is not obvious which to treat first, I will just go with the least invasive option, and see how it goes.
What a fu*king nightmare. I hate it so much. It is hard to stay vigilant but no other choice. Not ready to give up. Lost 6 months of my life with the sh*t already, and I know many here have suffered for way longer.
Just horrible.

Re: PPOD
Rob with a number of surgeons now performing the TG approach while sparing the ST ligament you have a lot more options available to you than there were 7 years ago. Good luck as you figure it out.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
